Head offshore with Captain Zane for a deep dropping adventure in the cobalt-blue waters off Key West. These 6- and 8-hour private charters take you well beyond the reef to fish depths of 600 to 1,000 feet, where some of the most unique and prized species in the Keys are waiting. With a max of six guests on board, you’ll have plenty of time at the rail and hands-on action all day long.

Deep dropping is a whole different game than inshore or reef fishing. You’ll be using heavy-duty electric reels to send baits and rigs down to the seafloor, targeting tilefish, snowy grouper, yelloweye snapper, and more. When a big fish bites, it’s a workout bringing them up from the depths—but the payoff is well worth it. Grey tilefish are prized for their lobster-like taste, snowy and yellowedge grouper deliver both muscle and incredible fillets, and colorful silk and yelloweye snapper are a favorite for the table. Schools of blackfin tuna and mahi mahi often show up offshore too, adding fast-paced variety to the day.

Captain Zane knows the wrecks, ledges, and dropoffs where these fish congregate, and he’ll make sure you’re set up with the right baits and techniques to get hooked up. Every trip is different, and the variety of species means you never know what might come over the rail next.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.
You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel up to 1 day before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
