About Your Trip

Step aboard for an unforgettable adventure deep in the heart of the Florida Everglades with your guide, Capt. Lou. With nearly 30 years of experience chasing bass in these waters, Capt. Lou’s passion for fishing shines through every trip. The Everglades is unlike anywhere else on earth—an endless maze of sawgrass, canals, and backwaters that’s alive with the promise of big strikes and unforgettable moments. Whether you’re here for the thrill of the fight or simply to soak in the wild beauty of South Florida, this trip delivers excitement at every turn.

We’ll be targeting trophy largemouth bass and the brilliantly colored peacock bass, two of the most sought-after sportfish in the region. But the adventure doesn’t stop there—the Everglades is also home to a wide variety of exotic and native fish, giving you the chance to hook into something surprising around every corner. Kids, beginners, and seasoned anglers are all welcome; whether you’re holding a rod for the first time or have decades of experience, Capt. Lou will tailor the trip to your pace and goals.

Live bait isn’t required, but it’s highly recommended if you’re after the most action-packed experience possible. Shiners, the favorite meal of big bass, are available at an additional cost and often make the difference between a good day and a spectacular one. Of course, all top-quality fishing gear is included with your trip, so you can focus on fishing without worrying about the details. Just bring your energy, excitement, and a valid Florida fishing license, and you’ll be ready to hit the water.

More than just a fishing trip, this is a full Everglades experience—a chance to connect with one of the most unique ecosystems on the planet while creating memories that will last a lifetime. Whether you’re looking to share the thrill of a first catch with your child, test your skills against aggressive peacock bass, or simply escape into nature with rod in hand, Capt. Lou’s Everglades trip is designed to leave you hooked. Are you ready to experience the wild side of Florida fishing?

For nearly 30 years, I’ve been fishing the legendary waters of the Florida Everglades, chasing the hard-fighting largemouth and the vibrant, aggressive peacock bass that make this fishery so special. What started as a passion has grown into a lifelong pursuit, and today I share that same excitement with my clients on every trip. I take pride not just in putting people on fish, but in teaching them about the unique ecosystem of the Everglades and the techniques that make these species so much fun to catch. Whether it’s your first cast or your hundredth, my goal is to create an unforgettable fishing experience filled with learning, adventure, and the thrill of South Florida bass fishing.
