Captain Mike runs this special half-day trip out of Yankeetown, a four to five hour outing limited to a single angler for a genuinely private, one-on-one experience on the water. This format is built to serve two very different kinds of anglers equally well: a novice looking for a hands-on, instructional introduction to inshore fishing, or an experienced angler who simply wants the undivided attention of a guide without sharing the boat.

The Nature Coast around Yankeetown is one of the most diverse inshore fisheries in Florida, and the species list reflects that. Redfish, speckled seatrout, black drum, flounder, snook, jack crevalle, pompano, sharks, cobia, and mangrove snapper are all possibilities depending on the time of year, giving Captain Mike plenty of options to work with no matter when you book. He adjusts his approach throughout the trip based on season, tide, and what's actively feeding, making the most of this region's genuinely varied fishery.

With only one angler aboard, every cast, every piece of instruction, and every decision on where to fish is focused entirely on you. For beginners, that means real, hands-on learning without the distractions of a group trip. For experienced anglers, it means a guide who can move efficiently, fish at your pace, and tailor the day around exactly what you're hoping to get out of it.

The 21-foot Flats Cat bay boat is well suited for working the Nature Coast's shallow flats and structure, equipped with a live well, GPS, fishfinder, trolling motor, and a Raptor shallow water anchor for precise, quiet positioning in skinny water.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
