About Your Trip

Get offshore out of Destin with Captain Troy for a Gulf fishing trip built around flexibility, comfort, and covering serious water. Whether you’re looking for a laid-back family-friendly day offshore or an extended deep-water run targeting pelagics, these trips are designed to match the experience level and goals of your group.

Trips are available in 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, and 18-hour formats for groups of up to 6 anglers, with each trip length allowing
access to different ranges of water and fishing styles.

The 6-hour trip is a great option for families, beginners, and kids looking to experience offshore fishing without committing to a full-day run. These trips typically travel around 13 miles offshore and combine high-speed trolling with bottom fishing, giving anglers opportunities at a variety of Gulf species while keeping the day approachable and action-focused.

The 8 and 10-hour trips allow more time and range, generally running around 26 miles offshore before transitioning into bottom fishing. Trolling takes place both on the run out and while moving between spots, with the additional time on the 10-hour trip allowing for more stops and more opportunities throughout the day.

The 12 and 14-hour trips push even farther offshore, often reaching waters around 34 miles out. These trips offer more flexibility to either focus heavily on deep-water bottom fishing or spend more time strictly trolling for offshore pelagics depending on conditions and what your group wants to target.

For anglers looking for a true offshore experience, the 18-hour overnight trip departs around midnight and runs approximately 75 miles offshore to deep-water floating structures and bluewater zones. This trip focuses entirely on trolling for pelagic species like Wahoo and other offshore gamefish, with no bottom fishing involved.

You’ll be fishing aboard a restored 52’ Hatteras convertible sportfishing yacht equipped for both comfort and offshore performance. The boat features two bathrooms, two showers, multiple air conditioning units, leather seating, a full kitchen, TV, and plenty of room to relax between bites.

On the fishing side, the boat is outfitted with everything needed for serious offshore fishing including GPS, radar, outriggers, live bait systems, fishfinder electronics, and heavy tackle setups.

Depending on the season and trip length, potential species may include Snapper, Grouper, Amberjack, Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Spanish Mackerel, and Sharks.

All rods, reels, tackle, lures, bait, fishing licenses, and first mate assistance are included. At the end of the trip, your catch will also be cleaned and filleted for you to take home and enjoy.

Whether you’re introducing the family to Gulf fishing or heading offshore in search of bigger pelagic action, Captain Troy and crew offer a well-rounded experience aboard a spacious and capable offshore platform.
