About Your Trip

If you’re chasing an unforgettable day on the Gulf, Captain Troy has just the trip for you. Departing out of Destin—widely known as the “World’s Luckiest Fishing Village”—you’ll have direct access to some of the most productive waters in the Gulf. Whether you're reeling in your first fish or chasing that once-in-a-lifetime trophy, this adventure is built for anglers of all experience levels. Captain Troy is a natural when it comes to creating a fun, welcoming experience on the water. He’s especially great with kids and families, always ready to share his knowledge, teach new techniques, and celebrate every catch—big or small. If you’re looking to make lasting memories (and maybe even start a new tradition), this is the kind of trip that delivers. And for those seeking a little more adventure, Captain Troy can even arrange overnight excursions for the ultimate offshore experience. You’ll be riding in total comfort aboard a beautifully restored 52’ Hatteras convertible sportfishing yacht. This vessel combines luxury and performance with ease, offering amenities like two bathrooms, two showers, leather couches, a 46-inch TV, three air conditioning units, and a fully equipped kitchen with an ice maker. With a layout this comfortable, you might forget you're on a serious fishing trip—until the rods start bending. And bend they will. This boat is fully rigged for action with GPS, radar, outriggers, a live bait well, fishfinder, VHF radio, and a 72-mile radar system to locate the best spots fast. Whether you're sticking close to the reefs or heading way offshore, you’ll be well-equipped to get on the fish. Depending on the trip length—ranging from 5 to 12 hours—you’ll have a shot at a wide variety of Gulf species. Nearshore waters are teeming with Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Gag Grouper, and Amberjack. Head farther out and you might find yourself tangling with high-speed Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, and Spanish Mackerel. And for those craving a real adrenaline rush, there’s always the chance to go toe-to-toe with a Hammerhead or Mako Shark. You’ll be able to try out a variety of fishing techniques throughout the day, including bottom fishing, trolling, spinning, jigging, and heavy tackle setups—all depending on what’s biting and what you want to target. The crew will help dial in the best approach and make sure you’re set up for success every step of the way. Your trip includes everything you need: rods, reels, tackle, lures, live bait (caught or purchased fresh), fishing licenses, and a friendly first mate to assist throughout the day. There’s even complimentary bottled water on board to keep everyone hydrated. At the end of your trip, the crew will clean and fillet your catch so it’s ready to cook, take home, or have prepared at a local restaurant. With unbeatable access to Gulf waters, a top-tier boat, and a captain who’s all about making your day awesome, this Destin fishing trip checks every box. Come aboard, kick back, and get ready to make some memories—and maybe even bring home dinner while you're at it.

the Gulf.

Suzanne later earned her Master Captain credentials and now serves as a backup captain on extended charters. She also works the deck alongside first-time anglers and kids—sharing her love of fishing and making everyone feel welcome on board.
