About Your Trip

Get ready to experience a thrilling day on the water with Captain Jerry on the beautiful Lake Hartwell! Nestled on the South Carolina-Georgia border, Lake Hartwell offers a dynamic mix of lake and river fishing—and Captain Jerry knows these waters like the back of his hand. Whether you're chasing after feisty Hybrid Stripers or dropping down for slab Crappie, you're in for an unforgettable day of rod-bending action.

Climb aboard Captain Jerry’s 24’ Seacraft, a
spacious and stable vessel that comfortably fishes up to 6 anglers. Outfitted for performance and versatility, this boat is perfectly designed to navigate the lake’s wide-open waters and winding river channels. With years of experience guiding both beginners and seasoned anglers, Captain Jerry brings the know-how and energy to get you on fish and keep the lines tight all day long.

Depending on the season and conditions, you’ll use a variety of proven techniques like freelining, down rigging, trolling, bottom fishing, and even jigging. Captain Jerry adjusts his strategy to give you the best chance at hooking into a variety of species. In cooler months, live bait is the go-to, especially for Hybrid and White Bass, while artificial lures become more effective during the heat of July and August. Whether you're working a light tackle setup for Bream and Perch, or going heavier for big Channel Catfish and Striped Bass hybrids, he’s got you covered with quality gear and hands-on instruction.

Target species on this trip include a wide range of freshwater favorites like Largemouth, Smallmouth, and Spotted Bass, as well as Crappie, Perch, White Bass, Bream, and hard-fighting Hybrid Stripers. No matter what you’re after, Captain Jerry will dial in the bite and put you right on top of it.

All rods, reels, tackle, and bait are provided, so all you need to bring is your South Carolina or Georgia freshwater fishing license. Pack a small cooler with your favorite snacks and drinks for the trip, and don’t forget to bring a larger cooler to leave in your truck for all your fish.

Whether you're introducing the family to fishing, planning a day with friends, or chasing your next personal best, Captain Jerry is ready to show you what Lake Hartwell is all about. Let’s go fishing!
