About Your Trip

Get ready to experience the best of North Carolina’s coast with Captain Jake, a seasoned guide with over 20 years of experience fishing everything from the quiet back marshes to the wide-open ocean! Whether you're in search of your first catch, chasing down a trophy Redfish, or just looking to soak in the salt air while dolphin watching or island hopping, Captain Jake is here to make it happen—and to make it unforgettable.

You’ll be
riding in style aboard a 26’ Pathfinder 2600HPS center console, built for both performance and comfort. Powered by a 300 HP Yamaha engine and decked out with top-tier electronics—including a GPS, fishfinder, and wireless trolling motor—this vessel is perfectly equipped to put you on the fish. With space for up to 4 guests, it’s a great setup for small groups or families looking to explore the NC waters in comfort and safety. Plus, with a live bait well, multimedia system, and an ice box onboard, you’ll have everything you need for a smooth day on the water.

When it comes to the fish, there’s no shortage of opportunity. Inshore trips will have you targeting hard-fighting Redfish, speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum, and Sheepshead—some of the most popular and delicious fish in the region. Whether you’re casting along grass flats, jigging near structure, or drifting through the marshes, there’s always a shot at something exciting. And thanks to Captain Jake’s deep knowledge of the area and seasons, you’ll always be in the right place at the right time.

No experience? No problem! Captain Jake tailors each trip to your skill level, making it fun and engaging for beginners, kids (ages 6 and up), and seasoned anglers alike. You’ll have access to top-quality rods, reels, tackle, and lures—all included in your trip—so you can focus on the action and not worry about gear. And once the lines are back in the boat, your catch will be cleaned and filleted back at the dock, ready for the grill or frying pan.

Bring your favorite snacks and drinks, dress for the weather, and don’t forget your sunscreen. Captain Jake will take care of the rest—including the bait, license, and expert guidance—so you can just show up and get after it.

Whether you’re looking for a laid-back day with the family or a shot at your next personal best, a trip with Captain Jake is the perfect way to enjoy the salt life from marsh to ocean.
