About Your Trip

Experience an exclusive 48-hour semi-guided West Texas whitetail hunt with Mike in the rugged landscapes surrounding Van Horn, Texas. With private access to expansive ranch land in the Trans-Pecos region, you'll spend two full days immersed in one of Texas' most iconic hunting destinations, where dramatic mountain views, wide-open country, and carefully managed habitat create an exceptional setting for pursuing mature whitetail deer.

Your hunt will primarily take place from elevated blinds overlooking established travel corridors and feeders. Mike's local knowledge and experience will help you make the most of your time in the field while still allowing you to enjoy the independence of a semi-guided hunt. The ranch is managed to provide opportunities to pursue mature whitetails, including impressive trophy-class bucks. Please note that bucks scoring over 180 inches are subject to an additional fee of $100 per inch over 180.

The experience extends beyond daylight hours. Hunters interested in additional opportunities can take advantage of night hog hunting with thermal equipment, adding another exciting dimension to their stay. During downtime between hunts, you're also welcome to enjoy catfishing on the property, offering a relaxing way to spend time while taking in the peaceful West Texas surroundings.

Lodging is included for your 48-hour stay, giving you a comfortable place to unwind, recharge, and prepare for the next hunt. The ranch features Wi-Fi and on-site cooking facilities, and meals can be added for an additional fee if you'd rather spend more time relaxing than preparing food. The property comfortably accommodates groups of two to six hunters, making it an excellent choice for friends, family, or hunting partners looking to experience West Texas together.

This hunt welcomes hunters of all experience levels. Whether you're planning your first whitetail hunt or have years of experience, Mike is available throughout the trip to answer questions, share local knowledge, and help you navigate the property and hunting strategy.

Game cleaning is included, making it easy to prepare your harvest for transport at the end of the trip.

Please bring your own hunting gear, as personal equipment is not included. Firearms are available to rent for an additional fee if needed. Before your arrival, Mike will be in touch to discuss the trip, provide recommendations on what to bring, and answer any questions so you arrive prepared for your hunt.

Beer is welcome at camp as long as it's in cans—no glass containers, please.

You will be responsible for your own gear. Mike will be in touch to discuss details before the trip.

You'll need to buy a hunting license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

This trip is managed by an outfitter. Mike will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

The deposit for this trip is non-refundable except for weather-related cancellations. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
