About Your Trip

Head offshore with Captain Luis for an exciting sport fishing charter off the coast of Lo de Marcos, Mexico. Trips depart at either 6:00 AM or 7:00 AM, giving you an early start to take advantage of the morning bite.

You'll fish aboard Captain Luis' 27' panga, a federally permitted vessel featuring overhead shade, comfortable individual seating, built-in rod holders, and life jackets for all passengers, providing a comfortable and functional platform for a day on the water. You're also welcome to connect your phone and play your own music through the boat's Bluetooth audio system.

Depending on the time of year, you'll have the opportunity to target Mahi Mahi, Marlin, Sailfish, Tuna, Roosterfish, and other local game fish. Captain Luis uses a variety of techniques, including trolling, casting, and bottom fishing, to maximize your opportunities throughout the day. Live bait is also available when needed.

This trip is suitable for anglers of all experience levels, from first-time offshore anglers to experienced fishermen. Please note that this is a physically demanding trip and is not recommended for children under 12 years old. The trip is also accessible for many guests with disabilities. If you have specific accessibility needs, we recommend discussing them with Captain Luis before your trip.

Everything you need for the fishing is included. We recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any other personal items you'd like for the day. Fish cleaning is included at the end of the trip.

Food is not provided, so please bring any lunch, snacks, and drinks you'd like to enjoy while you're on the water. Beer is welcome aboard as long as it's in cans—no glass containers, please.

All rods, reels, and tackle are included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any gear of your own you want to use on the trip

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Incredible morning fishing with Miguel who picked us up and dropped us off at The One & Only Mandarina from the beach. We saw whales, dolphins, and caught rooster fish, jurel, and a bonito. Captain and first mate were amazing, 10/10 experience. Would HIGHLY recommend!

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a QR Code boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
