About Your Trip

Come on down to the Coastal Bend and experience a one-of-a-kind duck hunt on private land with Jeff! This on-foot pond hunt is perfect for those looking to ditch the boat and get boots-on-the-ground in some of the best waterfowl territory Texas has to offer.

Set in the heart of the flyway, Jeff’s private ponds attract a variety of birds including Teal, Pintail, Wigeon, Shovelers, and more. You’ll meet up well before first light and make a short walk into the blind—no long hauls or boat rides necessary. Once you're tucked in and the sun starts to rise, get ready for fast-paced action as birds work the decoys and drop into range.

Jeff will provide the decoys and take care of setting the spread, so all you need to bring is your camo, waders, shotgun, and shells. Hunts typically run until around 11AM, giving you plenty of time to relax or head home with a strap full of birds and a story to tell.

Whether you’re a seasoned waterfowler or just getting started, this hunt offers a laid-back, low-pressure way to get out in the field and enjoy a morning of solid shooting.

I’m super patient and really love taking kids out for their first times .fishing and hunting. Have many people that I’ve seen grow up before my eyes! Love to have the opportunity to share my experience and love for everything outdoors with the next generations! God knows they need direction!!!

You'll need to buy a hunting license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Great trip out with Captain Jeff.
He was great with the kids and his top concern was the safety of his passengers.
Once we shoved off he took us right to the fish!
Caught a nice Red less than a minute after the bait hit the water, and the action continued on after that.

Three novice fishermen, one teenager, one middle aged father and one old fart grandfather and you were equally attentive to all three of us in our own language. I am particularly happy with the way you took my grandson under your arm. Correcting him when he needed correcting, teaching him when he needed teaching. It was a good trip.
