For the perfect blend of relaxation and adventure, join Captain Zak for a private sandbar and snorkeling trip through the crystal-clear waters of Key West. Far from the crowded tour boats and rigid schedules, this 4-hour charter is fully tailored to your group—whether you're looking to explore vibrant coral reefs, chill on a secluded sandbar, or do a bit of both.

You'll head out aboard a comfortable, twin-engine center console boat designed for smooth cruising and laid-back fun. The ride takes about 45 minutes, winding through the remote backcountry and national wildlife refuges, where you're likely to spot dolphins, sea turtles, stingrays, birds, and other marine life along the way.

Once you're out there, the day is yours to enjoy. Snorkel shallow reefs teeming with angelfish, parrotfish, lobsters, and coral heads, then pull up to a quiet sandbar where you can wade, float, sunbathe, or simply soak in the stunning scenery. Popular snorkel spots include Cotrell Key, Archer Key, and Sand Key Lighthouse, and Captain Zak will choose the best locations based on the day’s weather, tide, and your group’s interests.

This trip is ideal for families, couples, and small groups looking for a more personal, flexible experience. All ages are welcome, but snorkelers must be able to swim, as you'll be in water too deep to stand. While adult snorkel gear is provided, you'll want to bring your own equipment for younger children.

Captain Zak has been cruising the waters of the Florida Keys for years—so saying he knows his way around is putting it lightly. After spending some time cruising around on “Raven” his 36′ sailboat, he dropped anchor in Key West and never looked back.

He’s spent plenty of time exploring coastal Florida, The Everglades and the Lower Keys, getting to know the local waters, wildlife, and hidden spots. Zak’s a big nature lover, and he enjoys sharing cool facts about the unique plants and animals you’ll see out on the water.

He’s also a bit of a history buff and loves swapping stories about Key West’s colorful past. When he’s not out on the boat, you’ll probably find him diving, sailing, growing bananas, or kicking back with some good rum and a cigar.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a QR Code boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
