About Your Trip

This three-hour dolphin watching sunset cruise begins with a relaxed departure from Cape Coral as we cruise through scenic local waterways and out toward open coastal areas where dolphins are frequently seen. The first portion of the trip focuses on sightseeing and wildlife spotting, allowing time to explore and adjust our route based on conditions and dolphin activity. As the trip progresses, the pace naturally slows, setting the stage for a peaceful sunset on the water.

You’ll be aboard a comfortable, well-maintained boat operated by a husband-and-wife captain and first mate team, creating a private and personal experience with attentive service throughout the trip. Bottled water is provided, alcoholic beverages are allowed, and there are no additional charges for fuel, cleaning, or onboard amenities. The boat offers ample seating and space to move around comfortably while enjoying the views.

This trip is designed to be immersive but unhurried. We take a respectful, observational approach to dolphin encounters, giving guests the opportunity to see dolphins surfacing, traveling, and interacting naturally in their environment. Along the way, your captain and first mate share insights about dolphin behavior, the local ecosystem, and the unique coastal landscape of Southwest Florida. As the sun lowers, we position ourselves for an unobstructed view of the sunset, often accompanied by calm water and changing sky colors.

What truly sets this trip apart is its flexibility and personal touch. Routes, timing, and focus areas can be adjusted based on conditions and guest interests, whether that means spending more time with dolphins, exploring quieter waterways, or lingering a bit longer during sunset. This is not a scripted tour or a crowded boat. It’s a thoughtfully paced, private experience designed for guests who value comfort, authenticity, and meaningful time on the water.

Aldo and Damaris are a husband-and-wife captain and first mate team whose love for the water goes back decades. They even met on the shores of Sanibel Island Beach, where time spent along the coast quickly became a shared passion and a defining part of their story.

Long before guiding guests, Aldo and Damaris spent countless hours exploring local waterways and welcoming friends aboard simply to enjoy being out on the water together. They noticed how naturally the experience helped
people slow down, unwind, and connect, whether through quiet moments, shared conversations, or unexpected wildlife encounters.

Today, they bring that same approach to every trip they guide together, with a strong emphasis on attentiveness, preparation, and making guests feel comfortable from the moment they step aboard. Their style is relaxed, personal, and unhurried, focusing on creating an experience that feels genuine rather than scripted. For Aldo and Damaris, being on the water is about more than the destination, it’s about the feeling you take with you when the day is done.

Rapid Fire Guide Q & A

What’s the biggest fish you’ve caught?
We’ve caught a few big ones over the years, but the truth is, the moments we remember most aren’t about size. They’re about the laughs, the unexpected dolphin sightings, and those perfect days when everything just comes together on the water.
If you were cooking for all your friends what would you cook?
It would start with everyone gathered in the kitchen, music playing, glasses being poured, and no one in a hurry. The kind of evening where conversations overlap, people drift in and out, and the food slowly comes together in the background. Eventually, it would be something Cuban, like ropa vieja with jasmine rice and delicious tostones on the side. All this served family-style and enjoyed with a good glass of red wine (of course). More than the meal itself, it’s about the time spent together and the feeling that no one needs to be anywhere else.

More than the meal itself, it’s about the time spent together and the feeling that no one needs to be anywhere else.
What’s your favorite band?
That’s a moving target. It depends on the day, the mood, and whether the sun is high in the sky or heading for the horizon. We love music that fits the moment, whether it’s something upbeat while cruising or something smooth and laid-back as the sun goes down. On the water, the right song can make a great moment even better.
What’s your favorite movie?
That’s another tough one, but one that’s always stuck with us is The Village. We love movies that are atmospheric, a little mysterious, and make you think long after they’re over. It’s less about big action and more about the feeling the movie leaves you with, which is kind of how we think about a great experience on the water too… just without the mysterious part 😄
What’s your favorite sports team?
We appreciate a good game, but we’re not die-hard about any one team. We’re more about enjoying the moment, good company, and cheering for a great experience overall.
What’s your drink of choice?
It really depends on the moment. On the water, something light and refreshing always feels right, while a good glass of red wine or a pour of bourbon is hard to beat when things slow down. Either way, it’s less about the drink itself and more about enjoying it in good company.
How did you get started guiding?
Our love for the water goes back decades. Long before we ever thought about guiding tours, the coast was simply where we felt most at home. Damaris and I even met on the shores of Sanibel Beach, and from the very beginning, time on the water has been part of our story. Exploring local waterways, watching the light change, and feeling that sense of calm has always been something we naturally gravitated toward. Over the years, that love only grew. Friends and family would join us, and we noticed how quickly the water worked its magic on people. Conversations slowed down, stress faded, and everyone seemed more present. Guiding tours became a natural extension of that, not about showing off places on a map, but about sharing the feeling of being out there and truly enjoying it.
What makes you different from other guides?
We don’t approach guiding as a checklist or a script. For us, it’s about creating space for people to slow down, connect, and genuinely enjoy being on the water. As an owner-operated, husband-and-wife team who truly love these local waterways, every trip feels personal and unhurried. We’re never watching the clock when we’re out with guests, unless they’re on a tight schedule and need us to have you back at a certain time. That flexibility allows the experience to unfold naturally, whether that means spending a little more time with dolphins, lingering during sunset, or simply enjoying the moment. Our goal is for guests to leave feeling refreshed, connected, and glad they chose to spend their time with us.
