About Your Trip

If you’re looking to experience the true inshore side of Utila, this trip puts you on fish fast—no long offshore runs, no wasted time. Within five minutes of leaving the dock, you’ll be casting mangroves, drifting turtle grass flats, or working the reef edge in Rock Harbour with tournament-winning local captains who know these waters better than anyone.

This is technical, hands-on fishing for some of Utila’s most exciting inshore species. Depending on conditions and your preferences, you’ll target Bonefish, Permit, Juvenile Snapper, Barracuda, and Snook using the style of fishing you enjoy most. Whether you like light spinning gear, live pilchards, topwater plugs, or twitch baits, just tell the captain your style and they’ll set the trip up around it.

You’ll fish aboad a legendary 15’ Boston Whaler powered by a reliable 60HP Yamaha four-stroke. Small, fast, and unsinkable, this boat is perfectly built for slipping into skinny flats, hugging reef edges, and getting you to productive water in minutes. Despite her size, this boat holds serious bragging rights as the smallest boat ever to hit the podium in Utila’s Billfish Tournament Rodeo—outfishing boats many times her size with pure island grit.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
