About Your Trip

Experience the thrill of classic upland bird hunting deep in the heart of Central Texas. This five-hour, released bird hunt brings together fast-paced shooting, skilled bird dogs, and the rugged beauty of the Hill Country for a memorable day afield.

You'll be joined by one experienced guide and one well-trained pointing dog who will lead the way through prime quail habitat. With birds released ahead of your arrival, expect steady action and quick flushes that’ll
test your aim and keep your heart pumping. This hunt is a great fit for both seasoned wingshooters and newcomers looking to step into the upland tradition.

All hunters must bring their own gear, including shotguns, ammunition, and appropriate fieldwear. Good boots, blaze orange, and layers suited for the season are highly recommended to keep you comfortable and safe throughout the hunt.

Whether you're chasing coveys with old friends or looking to introduce someone new to the sport, this Central Texas quail hunt offers an authentic and exciting upland experience just a short drive from home.

Dress in weather-appropriate hunting clothes with blaze orange for safety, and wear comfortable, durable boots suited for walking through brush. We also recommend bringing eye and ear protection, sunscreen, sunglasses, and water or snacks to keep you sharp and comfortable in the field.
You'll need to buy a hunting license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
