About Your Trip

Head offshore with Captain Sean for a chance to battle one of the Pacific’s most powerful bottom fish. Halibut fishing out of East Sooke offers anglers the opportunity to target these massive flatfish on deep offshore structure where they hunt along the seafloor.

Trips typically focus on bottom fishing and jigging heavy gear over productive halibut grounds. Captain Sean’s decades of local experience help dial in the right depths, tides, and structure to give your
group the best possible shot at landing a trophy. While targeting halibut, it’s also common to encounter lingcod and rockfish, adding even more excitement to the day.

You’ll fish from a heated 26’ Northwest aluminum pilothouse built for comfort and stability in offshore conditions. The vessel accommodates up to four guests and is equipped with top-tier rods, reels, tackle, GPS, fishfinder, radar, and downriggers to help locate and stay on fish. A toilet and sink are also onboard for convenience.

Your charter includes all fishing equipment, drinks, and catch cleaning and filleting. Just bring a valid fishing license, warm clothing, sunglasses, and snacks for the day. With Captain Sean guiding the trip, you’ll have a great chance at experiencing the incredible halibut fishing these waters are known for.
