About Your Trip

Join Captain Bryce on Lake Michigan for a half-day Salmon and Trout fishing trip, available in both morning and afternoon departures. These trips are a great way to experience one of the Great Lakes’ most popular fisheries while targeting several hard-fighting and great-tasting species.

Depending on the season and conditions, you may have the opportunity to target Salmon, Lake Trout, Steelhead (Rainbow Trout), and Brown Trout. Captain Bryce will adjust the plan throughout the trip to focus on the species that are most active and holding in the area.

These trips typically take place 10 to 16 miles offshore, where cooler water and bait concentrations attract feeding fish. The primary technique used is trolling, a proven method on Lake Michigan that allows you to cover water and present multiple baits at different depths. Using specialized trolling setups, Captain Bryce works to match current conditions and put lines where fish are most likely to be holding.

You’ll be fishing aboard a 31’ Sea Ray Amberjack sportfishing vessel that comfortably accommodates up to 6 passengers. The boat is equipped with everything needed for a productive and comfortable day on the water, including GPS, fishfinder, radar, downriggers, and an ice box for storing your catch. Inside, you’ll also find a private restroom, bed, kitchen area, and refrigerator for added convenience during the trip.

Your charter includes rods, reels, tackle, and the assistance of a first mate to help with setting lines, landing fish, and keeping everything running smoothly. Fish cleaning and filleting are included, so your catch will be ready to take home after the trip—just remember to bring a cooler in your vehicle.

These trips are family-friendly, and kids are welcome aboard. Children must wear life vests, so it’s best to confirm ahead of time whether child-sized vests are available or bring one along.

Before the trip, all anglers will need to purchase a valid Michigan fishing license, which is typically available online. Be sure to check current regulations, as certain species may have seasonal limits or size requirements.

For the best experience, bring sunglasses, bottled water, and non-spray sunscreen. You’re welcome to bring additional drinks if you’d like—alcohol is allowed in moderation, but please avoid hard liquor and glass bottles while onboard.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.
You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
