Get out on the Western Basin of Lake Ontario for a fully guided trolling trip targeting some of the most sought-after freshwater species in the region. Fishing out of Oakville, these trips combine consistent action with the unique backdrop of the Toronto skyline.

Depending on the season, you’ll be targeting Chinook and Coho salmon, along with steelhead, brown trout, and lake trout. Captain Jay brings over 30 years of experience on these waters and adjusts the plan throughout the day to stay on active fish.

The Experience:

These trips focus on trolling, a proven approach on Lake Ontario that allows you to cover water and stay consistent. From the first lines in to the final pass, the crew handles setup, positioning, and adjustments—so you can focus on the fight.

Fishing is productive throughout the season, with peak salmon action typically from June through August, strong steelhead opportunities from spring through fall, and excellent trout fishing in the shoulder seasons.

For those looking to level things up, trips can also be timed around some of Lake Ontario’s biggest salmon tournaments during the summer months.

The Boat & Setup:

You’ll be fishing aboard a 27’ offshore sportfishing boat designed for comfort and performance on big water. The boat is equipped with modern electronics, including GPS and fishfinding technology, along with a full cabin, restroom, and plenty of space for up to five anglers.

A first mate is on board to assist throughout the trip, helping run lines, coach anglers, and keep things running smoothly.

All rods, reels, tackle, bait, and lures are included, along with fish cleaning and filleting at the end of the day.

Trips are family-friendly and suitable for anglers of all experience levels. Morning and afternoon start times are available depending on conditions and your schedule.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
