About Your Trip

Hunt Maine Black Bears over active bait sites throughout Hancock and Washington Counties. Our bait sites are established and placed as early as legally allowed. Only quality bait is used and the sites are baited regularly. Sites are watched by cellular trail cameras.

Hunts will be from ladder stands or ground blinds.

Animal recovery, field care and assistance with tagging the animal are included.

For single day hunts a harvest fee of $300 will apply. Meat processing, taxidermy and a tracking dog if needed are available for extra fees.

Lodging may be provided with a partnered lodge or cabin if available at the time of booking. Meals may also be included for an additional fee.

I have hunted and fished the state of Maine since I was able to walk. I really enjoy getting other people the outdoor experience they are looking for. From harvesting your first animal to targeting a certain animal or species I enjoy getting others outdoors.

When not guiding I spend my time in the outdoors and with my family. We love to go camping all year. Even camping on the ice and ice fishing. We spend a lot of time on the water and in the woods hunting/fishing and scouting year round.

I am a career fire captain and emergency medical technician for the City of Ellsworth so safety is a top priority. If something were to happen on a trip I have the skills and training to mitigate any emergency.

Hunting and fishing is not a hobby for me, it is a year round activity that I enjoy.

It’s something I have wanted to do since I was a teenager. Life finally allowed me the time to take the class and test with the state.

Life experience, not just guiding. Military experience, fire service experience. My entire life I have worked to serve others in some way.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a hunting license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 30 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 30 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
