Shake off the winter rust and kick off the season on the south side of Cape Cod during one of the most exciting times of the year. Throughout May, migrating Striped Bass begin flooding into the area, and hungry Bluefish often aren't far behind.

This trip is built around light tackle, artificial lures, and fly fishing opportunities when conditions allow. Depending on the season and bite, you may also encounter species such as Black Seabass and Scup while working productive nearshore waters.

Captain Vinny's local knowledge and willingness to adapt throughout the day make this an excellent trip for anglers looking for variety and active fishing. Whether you're throwing plugs, working soft plastics, or bringing your own fly gear, you'll stay engaged from start to finish.

Captain Vinny is a USCG-licensed captain, lifelong angler, and one of those fishermen who has spent enough time on the water to truly understand the rhythms of Boston Harbor, the North Shore, and Cape Cod. Having fished these waters since childhood, he's developed an intimate understanding of seasonal migrations, tide movements, bait patterns, and the techniques needed to consistently find fish throughout the year.

While he specializes in targeting Striped Bass and Bluefish throughout the inshore season, Captain Vinny is equally passionate about pursuing False Albacore around Cape Cod and chasing Bluefin Tuna offshore when conditions allow. His ability to adapt to changing conditions and put anglers in the right place at the right time is a product of countless days spent learning these fisheries.

Whether you're a complete beginner, bringing the family out for a day on the water, or an experienced angler looking to refine your technique, Captain Vinny takes a hands-on approach to every trip. He enjoys teaching, sharing knowledge, and helping guests become better anglers while creating an enjoyable, relaxed atmosphere on board.

You'll fish from his custom-built 2021 Pair Customs center console, a fast and capable platform powered by twin 225 HP Mercury outboards. Equipped with premium SIMRAD electronics and tournament-quality tackle, the boat is designed to maximize fishing time and provide a comfortable ride whether you're chasing Stripers in the harbor or Tuna offshore.

Most trips depart from Winthrop Town Landing, though alternate pickup locations around Boston Harbor may be available for an additional fee. Above all else, Captain Vinny is committed to running a safe, professional operation and helping every guest create lasting memories on the water.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
