Get out on the Rivers and Lakes of Berkshire County for a hands-on freshwater fishing trip targeting Smallmouth Bass, Largemouth Bass, and Northern Pike. These trips are built around adapting to each group’s goals and experience level while fishing some of the most diverse and productive waters Western Massachusetts has to offer.

Trips are available in both half-day and full-day formats and are open to anglers of all ages and skill levels. Whether you’re looking to learn bass fishing techniques, target trophy fish, or simply spend a day on the water with friends or family, every trip is customized around the species and style of fishing you want to focus on.

You’ll fish aboard a 2025 Skeeter ZXR 20 bass boat powered by a Yamaha SHO 250 and fully rigged with modern tournament-level equipment including Minn Kota Quest trolling motor, Raptor shallow water anchors, and top-tier rods, reels, and tackle setups. The boat comfortably accommodates up to 3 anglers, with additional boats available for larger groups and multi-boat trips.

Depending on conditions and target species, trips may involve a variety of bass and pike fishing techniques throughout the day while covering Berkshire County’s lakes, structure, weed lines, offshore areas, and shallow water zones.

All rods, reels, tackle, and fishing gear are included with every trip, and the boat is equipped with seating and a cooler full of ice for any food or drinks you’d like to bring along.

Whether you’re chasing aggressive Smallmouth, hunting giant Largemouth, or targeting Pike, these trips are designed to create a fun, personalized, and productive day on the water.

Now guiding full-time, Spencer combines local knowledge with tournament-level experience to help anglers of all skill levels improve their fishing and enjoy their time on the water. In his first season fishing the Major League Fishing Phoenix Bass Fishing League, he finished 26th out of 250 anglers in the Northeast Division with two top-10 finishes on Lake Champlain. In his second season, he finished 5th overall in the Northeast Angler of the Year standings with two additional top-10 finishes on the Potomac River.

Spencer fishes from a fully rigged Skeeter ZXR 20 bass boat loaded with high-end tournament gear including Douglas rods, Shimano and Lew’s reels, and technique-specific tackle setups.

More than anything, Spencer enjoys teaching, helping anglers improve, and putting clients on quality fish while creating a relaxed and enjoyable atmosphere throughout the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
This trip is managed by an outfitter. Spencer will be your point of contact and you will go out with one of their guides.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
