Get out on the creeks, flats, harbor waters, and backcountry of Charleston with Captain John for a classic Lowcountry inshore fishing experience. These trips are designed for anglers of all experience levels and focus on fishing the productive shallow water fisheries that make Charleston one of the top inshore destinations on the East Coast.

Depending on the season and conditions, potential catches include Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Black Drum, and Sharks while fishing marsh edges, oyster bars, tidal creeks, docks, and harbor structure throughout the Charleston area.

Captain John adjusts each trip around current tides, weather, and fish movement to give anglers the best opportunity possible while keeping the atmosphere relaxed and approachable for both beginners and experienced fishermen alike.

You’ll fish aboard a 25’ Contender center console powered by a Yamaha 300 and equipped with modern electronics, GPS, fishfinder technology, comfortable seating, and plenty of open deck space for casting and fishing comfortably with up to 6 passengers.

All bait, tackle, rods, reels, fishing licenses, and fish cleaning are included with the trip. Guests are welcome to bring food, drinks, and alcoholic beverages onboard, though glass containers are not permitted.

Whether you’re sight fishing shallow flats, working creek systems, or introducing the family to fishing in the Lowcountry, this trip offers a laid-back Charleston fishing experience built around local knowledge and time on the water.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel up to 1 day before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
