Experience the world-class salmon and trout fishing that has made Lake Ontario one of North America's premier freshwater destinations. Join Captain Tom for a half-day morning, half-day afternoon, or full-day adventure targeting the hard-fighting species that cruise the deep waters offshore.

Depending on the season and conditions, you'll have opportunities to target Chinook Salmon, Coho Salmon, Steelhead, and Lake Trout while trolling productive offshore waters. These trips often venture miles offshore in search of temperature breaks, bait concentrations, and active fish, giving anglers a true Great Lakes fishing experience.

You'll fish aboard a spacious 36' Tiara sportfishing boat that comfortably accommodates up to 6 anglers. Built for both comfort and performance, the boat features a cabin, restroom, kitchen, air conditioning, refrigerator, flybridge, and plenty of room to relax between bites. The vessel is fully equipped with premium electronics, including Simrad fish-finding technology, radar, outriggers, and downriggers to help maximize opportunities throughout the day.

All rods, reels, tackle, lures, water, and snacks are included, and your catch will be cleaned and filleted at the end of the trip so it's ready to take home. A first mate is aboard to assist throughout the day, and gratuities of 15-20% are customary for their hard work.

All you need to bring is a valid New York fishing license, weather-appropriate clothing, and a cooler for your fillets. Whether you're chasing your first King Salmon or you're a seasoned Great Lakes angler, Captain Tom is ready to help you experience everything Lake Ontario has to offer.

Captain Tom has been obsessed with Lake Ontario fishing since he was 12 years old, spending countless hours fishing the tributaries and watching charter boats leave the harbor with dreams of one day running his own. At 18, he purchased his first boat and began fishing the Great Lakes, eventually building more than 25 years of experience on Lakes Ontario and Erie.

A lifelong educator, Captain Tom still teaches science during the school year, but his summers are spent doing what he loves most—helping anglers experience the incredible fishery of Lake Ontario. After earning his Captain's License with the support of his family, he turned a lifelong dream into reality and now spends his time introducing guests to the excitement of Great Lakes salmon and trout fishing.

Known for his enthusiasm, patience, and passion for teaching, Captain Tom enjoys sharing both his fishing knowledge and his love of the outdoors with anglers of all experience levels. Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a QR Code boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
