About Your Trip

f you're looking to experience some of the best offshore fishing the Gulf has to offer, Captain Peyton has a trip designed for you. Operating one of the largest center console charter boats in the Apalachicola area, he has the speed, range, and capability to reach productive fishing grounds that many other boats simply can't access.

Fishing aboard a 36' Invincible powered by triple 300 HP Suzuki engines, you'll target a variety of Gulf species
depending on the season and trip length. Potential catches include Red Snapper, Vermilion Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Amberjack, Red Grouper, Gag Grouper, Scamp Grouper, Snowy Grouper, Yellowedge Grouper, Tilefish, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Sailfish, Blue Marlin, Swordfish, and more.

Throughout the day, you'll use a combination of heavy tackle bottom fishing, trolling, jigging, and deep-water techniques to target whatever species are biting best.

6-Hour Nearshore Trip

This trip is perfect for families, younger anglers, and anyone who wants to experience Gulf fishing without spending an entire day offshore. You'll typically fish 9-20 miles from shore around reefs, wrecks, and productive bottom structure.

Common targets include Gag Grouper, Red Grouper, Vermilion Snapper, Mangrove Snapper, Lane Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, Triggerfish, and seasonal Cobia. This trip focuses on steady action and shorter run times, making it a great option for guests who are prone to seasickness or fishing with children.

If your goal is specifically Red Snapper, Captain Peyton strongly recommends booking at least an 8-hour trip.

8-Hour Offshore Trip

For many anglers, this is the ideal offshore experience. You'll run approximately 40-60 miles offshore and fish depths ranging from 100-400 feet.

This additional range gives access to larger structure and better opportunities for species like Red Snapper, Amberjack, Red Grouper, Gag Grouper, Scamp Grouper, Vermilion Snapper, Triggerfish, and Porgies. This is the recommended trip for anglers looking to target larger fish and experience true Gulf offshore fishing.

12-Hour Offshore Trip

The 12-hour trip allows more time on productive grounds and adds flexibility to the day's game plan. You'll fish many of the same offshore areas as the 8-hour trip but with significantly more time to work spots thoroughly and adapt to changing conditions.

In addition to bottom fishing for Snapper, Grouper, Amberjack, Tilefish, and other reef species, you'll have time to troll for pelagic fish such as Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, and Mahi Mahi. This trip offers the best balance of bottom fishing and offshore trolling opportunities.

16-Hour Long-Range Offshore Trip

For serious anglers, the long-range trip unlocks some of the most productive waters in the northern Gulf. Depending on conditions and trip goals, you'll travel 70-128 miles offshore targeting deep-water species and bluewater gamefish.

Deep-dropping opportunities include Snowy Grouper, Yellowedge Grouper, Tilefish, Vermilion Snapper, and Red Snapper, while trolling can produce Wahoo, Blackfin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, Blue Marlin, and Swordfish.

This trip is fully customizable and provides the best opportunity to both fill coolers and chase true bucket-list fish.

What's Included

All rods, reels, tackle, bait, lures, and fishing licenses are included. Live bait is often part of the game plan and may either be caught during the trip or acquired beforehand depending on conditions.

The boat is equipped with GPS, fishfinder, radar, and a live bait system to help maximize your success throughout the day.

Additional Information

A professional mate will be aboard to assist throughout the trip. Mates work for tips, and a gratuity of 15-25% is customary.

Fish cleaning is available through local fish cleaning services near the marina for an additional fee.

Be sure to bring sunglasses, sun protection, food, and any beverages you'd like for the day. Alcohol is permitted in moderation, but please avoid hard liquor and glass bottles.

Whether you're looking for a family-friendly nearshore trip, a deep-water grouper adventure, or a long-range offshore expedition, Captain Peyton has the experience, equipment, and range to help make it happen.
