This Captain's Choice trip is designed for anglers who want maximum flexibility and the benefit of local expertise. Rather than locking into a single style of fishing, you'll work with Captain Brian to create the perfect day on the water based on current conditions, seasonal opportunities, and what your group wants to experience most. Whether that's chasing trophy fish offshore, exploring productive inshore waters, searching for wildlife, relaxing at a sandbar, or combining several activities into one trip, the day is completely customizable.

You'll be fishing aboard a comfortable 25' Privateer pilothouse boat that accommodates up to six guests and is equipped with GPS, fishfinder, wireless trolling motor, live bait well, and quality fishing gear. The vessel offers partial shade and a smooth ride, making it a great option for families, first-time anglers, and experienced fishermen alike. Multiple departure times are available throughout the day, allowing you to choose the schedule that best fits your vacation plans.

For anglers choosing the 3-hour option, expect a fun and relaxed adventure focused on maximizing time on the water. This trip is perfect for families with children, visitors looking for a quick fishing experience, or groups wanting a mix of fishing, sightseeing, wildlife viewing, and possibly even a stop at a local sandbar. Depending on conditions, you may target species such as snook, spotted seatrout, flounder, tripletail, sheepshead, or Spanish mackerel in the protected waters around Sarasota and Anna Maria Island.

The 4, 6, and 8-hour options open the door to nearshore and offshore fishing opportunities. These longer trips allow Captain Brian to venture farther from shore in search of larger and more diverse species. Common targets include gag grouper, red grouper, mangrove snapper, lane snapper, cobia, permit, king mackerel, blacktip sharks, hogfish, and other seasonal Gulf Coast favorites. Depending on the bite, you may fish reefs, wrecks, hard-bottom structure, or open-water areas using techniques such as trolling, bottom fishing, jigging, drift fishing, spinning tackle, and even fly fishing for those who bring their own gear.

If offshore conditions are favorable, Captain Brian can point the bow toward productive Gulf waters in search of bigger fish. You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
