About Your Trip

Experience world-class Great Lakes fishing on beautiful Lake Ontario, where trophy salmon and trout opportunities await from April through September. Join Captain Michael for an unforgettable day targeting some of the most sought-after freshwater gamefish in North America while fishing aboard a comfortable, fully equipped Tiara sportfishing vessel.

One of the things that makes these trips unique is that the experience is tailored to you. If you'd rather sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenery
while the crew handles the work, that's perfectly fine. If you'd like to learn how Great Lakes trolling works, help set lines, read electronics, fight fish, and net your catch, Captain Michael is happy to make the trip as hands-on as you'd like.

The fishery changes throughout the season, creating exciting opportunities from spring through early fall. During April and May, anglers target Brown Trout and Lake Trout using lighter tackle while fishing nearshore waters where action can be steady throughout the day. As summer approaches and the thermocline develops, offshore opportunities for Lake Trout and Steelhead begin to heat up.

By late June and throughout July, the famous salmon fishery takes center stage as Chinook (King) Salmon and Coho Salmon arrive in greater numbers. Mixed-bag days featuring Kings, Cohos, Steelhead, Brown Trout, and Lake Trout are common during the heart of the season. By late August and September, attention turns almost entirely to mature King and Coho Salmon staging near shore before beginning their spawning runs.

Trips are available in both 6-hour and 8-hour formats and accommodate up to 6 anglers. All rods, reels, tackle, lures, bait, and fish cleaning are included. The vessel features premium electronics, outriggers, an enclosed cabin, private restroom, comfortable seating, and plenty of room for anglers to spread out.

Simply bring your fishing license, snacks, drinks, and weather-appropriate clothing. Whether you're chasing your first salmon or your biggest one yet, Captain Michael will work hard to put you on fish and make the most of your day on Lake Ontario.
