About Your Trip

From May through August, Tampa Bay becomes one of the world's top destinations for Tarpon fishing, and Captain Matt has spent decades learning how to stay on these incredible fish. Available in 4, 6, and 8-hour trips, these seasonal charters are dedicated entirely to pursuing the legendary Silver King.

You'll target migrating Tarpon using live bait and sight fishing techniques whenever possible, quietly positioning the boat for the best opportunity at an unforgettable hookup. These
fish are among the strongest and most challenging in saltwater, known for blistering runs and spectacular aerial displays that make every encounter memorable.

Fishing takes place aboard a fully equipped 23-foot Skeeter bay boat with all rods, reels, tackle, live bait, fishing licenses, drinks, and fish cleaning included. Fly anglers are also welcome to bring their own equipment if they'd like to pursue Tarpon on the long rod.

No guide can promise a Tarpon hookup, but Captain Matt's local knowledge, decades of experience, and understanding of Tampa Bay's tides and bait movements will put you in the best position to connect with one of sportfishing's greatest game fish.
