Whether you choose a four or six-hour adventure, you'll spend the day exploring current seams, rock piles, backwaters, and shoreline structure that consistently hold aggressive bronze-backed bass throughout the season.

Smallmouth bass are the stars of the show, known for their powerful fights, acrobatic jumps, and willingness to crush everything from finesse presentations to explosive topwater lures. Depending on the time of year and river conditions, you'll adjust techniques throughout the day to match the bite, whether that means slowing down with soft plastics during early summer or covering water with reaction baits as the fish become more aggressive later in the season. When late summer and early fall arrive, the famous topwater bite can provide some of the most exciting fishing Minnesota has to offer.

One of the best parts about fishing the Mighty Mississippi is that every cast has the potential to surprise you. While targeting smallmouth, it's common to encounter walleye, northern pike, catfish, carp, suckers, and even the occasional muskie, making every trip a true multi-species adventure.

You'll fish aboard a spacious 20-foot Lowe Big River jet boat powered by a 150 HP Mercury Jet. Built specifically for navigating shallow river systems, this setup allows your guide to safely reach productive stretches that many traditional boats simply can't access. The stable platform comfortably accommodates up to three anglers while providing plenty of room to cast and fight fish.

Your trip includes quality rods, reels, tackle, live safety equipment, bottled water, snacks, and a cooler with ice. Flexible meeting locations make it easy to fish the section of river that's producing the best action, and anglers are always welcome to bring their own favorite gear if they prefer. Simply purchase a valid Minnesota fishing license, dress for the weather, and get ready to experience one of the Midwest's best river fisheries.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
