Sight-fishing for cobia is one of the most exciting ways to catch them because you're targeting individual fish you can actually see before making the cast.

We stand on the tower looking for cobia cruising just below the surface. In the Chesapeake Bay, they often swim alone, in pairs, or around buoys, channel markers, rays, turtles.

Robert grew up fishing the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean, and that early foundation on some of the most productive and diverse water on the East Coast shaped the kind of guide he is today. Now based out of Virginia Beach, Robert has access to one of the finest and most varied fisheries on the entire Atlantic Seaboard, and he makes the most of every bit of it.

Rather than zeroing in on a single species or style, Robert follows the fishery. Whatever is running, wherever the bite is hottest, and whatever the season demands is where Robert wants to be, and that genuine versatility is one of the things that sets him apart. Whether the Chesapeake Bay is firing on Striped Bass, the nearshore reefs are stacked with Flounder and Sea Bass, or the offshore grounds are lighting up with Mahi and Tuna, Robert stays dialed in on what is happening right now and builds every trip around putting his anglers on the best possible action the season has to offer.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 10 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 10 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.
