Spend the day fishing the coastal waters around Ocean Isle Beach, Sunset Beach, North Myrtle Beach, and the surrounding area with Captain Tripp! Whether you're bringing the family for a laid-back half day or looking to put in a full day of fishing, these trips can be tailored to your group and the conditions.

You'll primarily fish the area's inshore and backwater fisheries, targeting Redfish, Speckled Trout, Flounder, Sheepshead, Black Drum, and Weakfish. Depending on the trip length and weather conditions, you may also have the opportunity to venture into nearshore waters, where species like Spanish Mackerel can enter the mix. Captain Tripp primarily fishes with light tackle and live bait, with bait prepared ahead of time so you can get down to fishing once you reach the day's spots.

Choose from 4, 5, 6, or 8-hour trips. The shorter trips are a great fit for families and anglers looking for an easy introduction to the local fishery, while the extended options give Captain Tripp more time to move between productive areas and adjust to the day's tides and conditions. The 5-hour trip may also allow for some nearshore exploration when the weather cooperates, while the 8-hour option provides the most flexibility to cover water and fish multiple areas throughout the day.

You'll fish aboard Captain Tripp's bay boat, built to handle the shallow coastal waters while still providing plenty of fishing room for groups of up to 5. The boat is equipped with GPS, a fishfinder, live bait well, ice box, and the equipment needed for a comfortable day of fishing.

Captain Tripp provides Star rods and reels, tackle, live bait, lures, and your fishing licenses. At the end of the trip, he'll also clean and fillet your catch at no additional charge. Just bring your favorite snacks and drinks, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you'd like for the day.

With several trip lengths to choose from and a mix of inshore and potential nearshore fishing, Captain Tripp makes it easy for beginners, families, and experienced anglers alike to experience the coastal fishery of southern North Carolina.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
