Get the family out on the water for a laid-back morning of fishing on some of Western New York's most productive lakes! This 4-hour trip with Captain Bill is designed with kids, families, and newer anglers in mind, while still offering plenty of action for experienced fishermen looking to bend a rod.

Depending on the season, conditions, and where the bite is best, you'll fish waters including the Finger Lakes, Lake Erie, and other productive local fisheries. Captain Bill will have you targeting species like Crappie, Yellow Perch, Bluegill, Sunfish, Northern Pike, and Smallmouth Bass using light tackle, spinning gear, jigging, drift fishing, and bottom fishing techniques.

You'll fish aboard Captain Bill's 22' Campion walkaround, which comfortably accommodates up to 3 guests and is equipped with GPS, fishfinder, wireless trolling motor, live bait well, ice box, and a private porta potty in the cabin. Rods, reels, tackle, lures, and live bait are provided, so you can concentrate on fishing and enjoying the day.

Captain Bill has been hooked on fishing since catching his first Bluegill as a kid, and he loves giving younger anglers the opportunity to experience that same excitement. Whether it's your child's first fish or another family day spent outdoors, he'll work to keep everyone involved and having fun.

Be sure to purchase your New York fishing licenses before the trip and bring bottled water, snacks, sunglasses, a hat, and non-spray sunscreen.

Captain Bill has been hooked on fishing since he was a kid, when catching his first Bluegill sparked a lifelong passion for being on the water. Since then, he's logged countless hours fishing the diverse waters of Western New York, building experience that stretches from panfish and Walleye to hard-fighting Lake Ontario Salmon and Trout.

Today, Captain Bill enjoys sharing that experience with anglers of every skill level. He especially welcomes kids and families and knows that sometimes the most memorable fish isn't necessarily the biggest one. Whether you're watching a youngster catch their first Bluegill, jigging for Walleye, battling a Smallmouth Bass, or grabbing the rod when a Lake Ontario Salmon hits the trolling spread, Captain Bill wants everyone aboard to enjoy the experience.

Depending on your trip and target species, Captain Bill fishes Lake Erie, Lake Ontario, the Finger Lakes, and other productive Western New York waters. His wide-ranging local experience allows him to adjust locations and techniques based on the season, conditions, and what your group hopes to catch.

From panfish to Salmon, Captain Bill still loves the same thing that got him started: seeing that bobber disappear or feeling the unmistakable tug of a fish on the other end of the line. He looks forward to sharing that excitement with you on your next Western New York fishing adventure!

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
