Head out onto the open waters of Lake Huron with Captain Jon for a 5 or 8-hour Great Lakes fishing adventure out of Rogers City, Michigan!

These waters offer an awesome mix of cold-water game fish, and Captain Jon will use his years of experience on the Great Lakes to put you in the best position for the day's bite. Depending on the season and conditions, you'll have the opportunity to target King (Chinook), Atlantic, Coho, and Pink Salmon alongside Lake Trout, Steelhead, and Walleye.

The 5-hour trip is a great half-day option, with both morning and evening departures available. You'll have plenty of time to get lines in the water and work the productive waters surrounding Rogers City, making this a great choice for families, first-timers, and experienced anglers looking to squeeze some serious fishing into a half day.

The 8-hour trip gives you a full day to take advantage of everything Lake Huron has to offer. With three additional hours on the water, Captain Jon and his crew have more flexibility to search for an active bite, work productive areas longer, and adjust throughout the trip as conditions change. Full-day fishing time can also be split between different days when arranged with Captain Jon.

You'll fish aboard a 27' Albemarle Express built for handling big water and comfortably accommodating up to 6 guests. The boat features a cabin cuddy, bathroom, changing area, and modern fishing equipment including quality rods, downriggers, and fish-finding electronics.

At the end of the trip, your catch will be filleted and packaged for you to take home. Bring drinks and snacks, sunglasses, sunscreen, a camera, and a cooler for your fish. Dressing in layers is recommended since Great Lakes weather can change quickly, and soft-soled shoes are best aboard the boat.

Captain Jon can accommodate groups of up to 6 anglers.

Captain Jon brings a lifetime of Great Lakes experience to every trip he runs out of Rogers City, Michigan. With more than 20 years as a Merchant Mariner sailing aboard Great Lakes freighters, Jon knows these waters from a perspective few fishing captains can match.

Today, he puts that experience to work chasing the diverse fishery of Lake Huron. From hard-fighting King Salmon and Steelhead to Lake Trout, Atlantic Salmon, Coho, Pink Salmon, and Walleye, Jon and his experienced crew work hard to provide a safe, productive, and memorable day on the water for anglers of all experience levels.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a QR Code boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. Just make sure you bring a cash tip for the guide!

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
