Spend a day exploring the beautiful lakes of Hayward, Wisconsin with Captain Jonny, a local guide bringing more than 30 years of fishing knowledge to the water. Whether you're introducing the kids to fishing, looking to put some fish in the boat, or hoping to learn more about these Northwoods lakes, Jonny will tailor the trip to your group and the conditions.

Depending on the season and what's biting, you'll target a variety of Panfish and Bass while fishing lakes throughout the Hayward area. Jonny guides Lost Land and Teal Lakes, Round Lake, the Spider Lake Chain, Windigo Lake, Lac Courte Oreilles, Big Sissabagama, and a number of smaller local waters. With so many options nearby, he can choose the lake and tactics that give your group a great opportunity for a productive day.

You'll fish aboard Jonny's 18.5' Ranger 185VS powered by a 150HP Yamaha VMAX. It's a comfortable and capable setup for exploring the lakes of Northern Wisconsin and getting you where the fish are.

One of Jonny's favorite parts of guiding is sharing the techniques and knowledge he's built over decades on these waters. Every lake fishes a little differently, and he'll help you understand structure, fish-holding areas, presentations, and tactics that you can take with you on future trips.

Rod and reels, tackle, life jackets, bottled water, and snacks are provided. Just bring a valid Wisconsin fishing license, weather-appropriate clothing, and rain gear. Anglers of all experience levels are welcome, and Jonny especially enjoys helping families and younger anglers build memories on the water.

Captain Jonny has spent more than 30 years fishing the lakes surrounding Hayward, Wisconsin, developing an intimate understanding of the area's diverse fisheries along the way. Fishing runs deep in his family, with more than 75 years of combined family experience on the waters of Wisconsin's Northwoods.

Jonny guides anglers across Lost Land and Teal Lakes, Round Lake, the Spider Lake Chain, Windigo Lake, Lac Courte Oreilles, Big Sissabagama, and numerous smaller lakes throughout the Hayward area. He targets everything from Panfish and Bass to the area's larger gamefish and understands that every lake requires its own approach.

For Jonny, guiding is about more than simply catching fish. He enjoys sharing the techniques, productive structure, and local knowledge he's accumulated over decades on the water so his guests leave as better and more confident anglers.

He welcomes anglers of all ages and experience levels aboard his 18.5' Ranger 185VS powered by a 150HP Yamaha VMAX. Whether you're a seasoned fisherman, visiting the Hayward area for the first time, or bringing the kids out to build some Northwoods fishing memories, Jonny is ready to show you what these lakes have to offer.

All rods, reels, and tackle are included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and any gear of your own you want to use on the trip.

You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
