Fish the Remote Marquesas Keys

Leave Key West behind and head west toward the wild and remote Marquesas Keys for a full day of serious fishing and adventure. Located roughly 20–25 miles west of Key West, the Marquesas offer an incredible variety of fishing grounds, from deep channels and rocky structure to wrecks and rock piles that hold some of the biggest and most exciting fish in the area. We’ll chase tarpon through the channels, work structure for grouper and snapper, and keep our eyes open for permit, barracuda, sharks, and whatever else decides to eat along the way. This is your chance to get away from the crowds and experience some of the Keys’ most unique fishing grounds.

Built for the Adventure

You’ll spend the day aboard our 2023 26-foot Pathfinder HPS, a fast, comfortable, and highly capable fishing machine designed for exploring everything from shallow backcountry water to deeper offshore structure. The boat is equipped with a Power-Pole MOVE trolling motor for precise positioning, a new Simrad electronics system, and Starlink for emergencies and customer use when available. When it’s time to turn up the music, our Bluetooth sound system brings the good vibes—and it’s loud enough to hear from miles away. We’ll customize the day around the conditions and what you want to catch, using live bait, artificial lures, light tackle, bottom fishing, and other techniques to put you in the best possible position.

No two days in the Marquesas are exactly alike, and that’s what makes this trip special. You can spend your day hunting tarpon in the channels, dropping baits around wrecks and rock piles for Goliath grouper, black grouper, red grouper, mangrove snapper, and mutton snapper, or switch gears and chase permit, barracuda, and sharks. We’ll adjust locations, techniques, and targets throughout the day based on the weather, water conditions, and what’s biting. If you’re looking for more than just a standard fishing trip, this is a true Key West backcountry adventure—remote water, diverse fishing, and a boat built to explore it all.

Captain Brooks grew up in Louisiana but spent every summer he can remember in Key West, where he developed a lifelong passion for being on the water. Some of his best memories growing up were made in the Florida Keys, and he always knew he wanted to find a way to make a living doing what he loves.

Over the years, that passion turned into a love for guiding and sharing the incredible waters around Key West with others. Whether he’s chasing fish in the backcountry, working the flats, or exploring the open water, Brooks enjoys making every trip a fun and memorable experience.

Everything is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen (non-spray), weather-appropriate clothing, snacks and drinks, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 14 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 14 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
