offshore… Morning and afternoon trips are available

This trip is great for families with small children who’ve never been out on the water before. On these trips you won't venture very far from shore, and usually consists of trolling (pulling) two or more lures behind the boat at a slow rate of speed. Your target species during the warmer months are normally King Mackerel and Spanish Mackerel. From late fall through early, the big Bull Reds migrate into the shallow waters along the beaches… It’s not uncommon to see huge schools of redfish come to the surface chasing after baitfish and making the water appear to turn orange. Captain Bryan also offers sight fishing for Cobia, but only during their annual migration from south Florida to Louisiana. The first ones start to show up towards the end of March and lasts until about the first week of June. These trips run Approx. 0-3 miles away from shore.

Captain Bryan will provide all rods, reels, tackle, licenses, and lures. A first mate will be on board as well to help you at all times! Don’t forget to bring a cooler with ice to take home your day’s catch, sunscreen, a hat, as well as any food and beverages of your choice.

Get ready for a thrilling day out with Captain Bryan as you go after a range of exciting and delicious fish that call these waters home.

How did you get started guiding?
I started as a deckhand in 1995, my stepfather bought a charter boat and I worked for him through high school and college. I was a deckhand for 17 years full time before I bought my own charter boat and started running it for hire in 2013
What makes you different from other guides?
Just ask all the other captains who the best fisherman is. I am very humble about my ability and thank God every day for the opportunity that I have. God gave me a gift and I am blessed to be able to share that gift with my customers. I understand fish and know how to adapt to catch them. Fish are like us, they aren’t always hungry, they don’t always want a big meal, sometimes they want a snack. Fishing isn’t always easy, there’s a lot of times they aren’t hungry and don’t bite very well. I always go the extra mile to make it happen when the bite is tough and don’t use the excuse of “oh they’re just not biting” like most do. I have a passion for, it’s not just a job for me and that passion shows in each and every trip I take. Being good at fishing is a bonus though, because the most important thing to me is showing our customers a good time! It’s not always about what you bring back to the dock, it’s about the memories you make while you’re out there. We pride ourselves in customer service and we strive to create bonds with our customers, we’re not just out there for a paycheck. We want them to come back and we want them to tell their friends about what a great time they had aboard the Wild Orange. What’s unique about the Wild Orange is, I the captain, am with the customers the entire trip, my helm is inside the cabin with the customers and while we’re fishing I’m on the back deck with the customers as well (I have a helm on the deck also). Lastly I am a father of 5 kiddos and I understand our children are the future. It’s very important the we teach them the same passion that my father taught me. The cool thing about my boat is that I can help the kids while fishing because I’m back there with the customers and this takes pressure off the first mate and gives him more freedom to work with the rest of the group.

In all of the trips we've taken I don't think we could have gotten a better captain an first mate. They helped us an with out hesitation, especially my 87 year father. And they did so on a way as to not hurt his pride. With their my pops pulled this beast up to boat. Couldn't give them a greater recommendation... Thanks Bryn and Ben

Great trip! Captain Brian and Jackson made the trip a very enjoyable experience, and we caught lots of fish! Although we had to release the amberjack and red snapper due to being out of season. Still a great trip and some good trigger fish to take home! Would fish with these guys again for sure!

Great crew that knows how to find the fish. My granddaughters had never been on a boat. They had a great time and want to go again. I will definitely book with Capt Bryan on my next trip.
