About Your Trip

If filling the cooler and battling hard-fighting reef fish sounds like your ideal day offshore, Captain Will's bottom fishing trips are the perfect choice. Available in 5, 6, 8, 10, and 12-hour options, these trips allow you to spend more time exploring productive reefs, wrecks, and offshore structure throughout the Gulf of Mexico.

The length of your trip determines how far offshore you'll be able to travel. Longer trips provide the opportunity to reach deeper water and less-pressured structure where larger fish often live, opening the door to even more exciting fishing opportunities.

Depending on the season, regulations, and current conditions, you'll target a variety of Gulf favorites including Red Snapper, Amberjack, Cobia, King Mackerel, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Spanish Mackerel, Bonito, False Albacore, and other reef-associated species. Throughout the day you'll fish using a combination of bottom fishing, jigging, drift fishing, and trolling whenever conditions present an opportunity to hook additional fish while traveling between locations.

Your adventure takes place aboard a comfortable 38' Bertram sportfisher equipped with twin 370 HP Cummins diesel engines, outriggers, center rigger, live bait tank, GPS, fish finder, air-conditioned cabin, restroom, shower, full galley, refrigerator, and plenty of deck space for up to six anglers.

Captain Will and his experienced mate keep everything rigged and ready throughout the day, allowing you to focus on fishing while they handle bait, tackle, and fish care. All rods, reels, tackle, bait, lures, and fishing licenses are included.

Be sure to bring plenty of food, snacks, drinks, sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, a hat, weather-appropriate clothing, and a cooler left in your vehicle for transporting your fresh fillets home after the trip. Once you're back at the dock, the crew will unload your catch, hang the fish for photos, and professionally fillet and bag your legal catch so it's ready for the grill or freezer.

As always, gratuities of 20-25% for the hardworking deckhand are customary and greatly appreciated for helping make your day on the water a success.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

Cancel for free up to 3 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 3 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
