About Your Trip

Head out with Captain Reyes to explore the inshore bays and flats around Palacios. From Tres Palacios Bay to Turtle Bay to Vaes Bay, all the way out into Matagorda Bay, Captain Reyes has years of experience fishing all of them and know how the fish think in these areas!

On your trip, you'll be chasing down Texas' Big 3: Redfish, Speckled Trout, and Flounder, with the chance to hook into Sheepshead and maybe even Spanish Mackerel!

Captain Reyes will provide all the rods, reels, tackle, and ice you'll need for a successful day out on the water. All you need to bring are your favorite snacks and drinks, your sun protection, and a Texas fishing License for everyone fishing over the age of 16. With these items in tow, Captain Reyes will take care of everything else to ensure you have a fantastic experience out on the water! Bait is an additional $40

Captain Reyes did an outstanding job. My son and I had planned to meet him in Matagorda and fish East Matagorda Bay. A few days before the trip, he texted suggesting that we meet him in Palacios and fish West Matagorda Bay because he’d had several days of good catches there. Never use Captain Experiences for booking a fishing trip. They keep a huge sum of money up front-- money that I would prefer to go those who actually do the work- the fishing guide.
