About Your Trip

Swordfish are no joke! They're one of the toughest, hardest-fighting, and trickiest fish to hook in the Gulf, and an expert captain is absolutely essential if you want to check this species off your list. Captain Rich is the perfect man for the job, with years of experience going after these deep-sea predators with all kinds of clients.

On this trip, you'll be heading deep offshore, trolling for lightning-fast gamefish such as King Mackerel, Mahi
Mahi, Sailfish, Wahoo, and Blackfin Tuna. Once you reach the best fishing grounds, you'll drop your lines much deeper to attract Swordfish, which migrate at great depths, hunting for squid, bristlemouths, ballyhoo, and more. These fish are hungry, and when they hit your line, you'll feel it! Bring your A-game on this trip, because the Swords will really test your strength, skill, and stamina, with fights that can last half an hour or even longer.

Captain Rich's 31' Rampage sportfisher is a serious fishing machine. She's powered by twin Cummins 270-HP engines, so you'll cruise offshore with some serious speed. This well-equipped vessel comes with all the necessities, including GPS, Fishfinder, a Live Bait Well, and an Ice Box to store your catches. This boat also have a comfortable cabin area so that you can relax in the shade in between hook-ups.

Captain Rich will provide top-of-the-line rods, reels, tackle, and fishing licenses. All you need to bring is sunglasses, sunscreen, a lunch, and any snacks or drinks you'd like to enjoy while onboard. Get out there and bag some Swords!

His passion never fades and is just as excited when reeling in a Yellowtail Snapper as he is a big game fish. Putting people on the fish and seeing them get excited is what it's all worth for Captain Rich, and he's loved his job since he started running charters in 1977.
