About Your Trip

If you're a saltwater angler looking to go toe-to-toe with one of the world's most badass sportfish, this trip with Captain Phil has your name on it!

He's an expert at finding and hooking big-time Tarpon, Florida's premier inshore sport species. These fish are big, beautiful, and known worldwide for their ferocious fighting abilities and acrobatic leaps! Commonly known as the "Silver King", these fish are the top predators in their inshore habitat, and hooking
one is the experience of a lifetime. You'll chase bites using light tackle techniques with both bait and lures. Tarpon behavior changes depending on the season, the water conditions, and even the phases of the moon, so Captain Phil's expertise here is absolutely invaluable.

Fishing for Tarpon is unlike any other kind of fishing. When you hook one, breathe, remain calm and focus on listening to Captain Phil's instructions—these monsters are notoriously good at snapping lines and throwing hooks! Play the fish well, and you'll have a chance to make some real lifelong memories.

On this trip, you'll also be able to go after giant Goliath Grouper, Hammerhead Sharks, Jack Crevalle, and other species as well! Just tell Phil what you're after and he'll do everything he can to put you on the fish.

Captain Phil will provide all the fishing gear—including rods, reels, tackle, and bait—plus fishing licenses, water, and ice. There is usually ample room in the onboard coolers, but you may bring a small cooler for your provisions if you’d prefer.
In the summer months, it's bound to be hot, but long sleeved shirts are highly recommended to protect you from the sun. Captain Phil also suggests sunblock, polarized sunglasses, and a hat.

Shoes should be made for wet surfaces. Plan on memorable moments, and bring your favorite camera!

They made sure my 9 year old son had the best spot on the boat and were eager to help him land a few fish. Captain Phil helped us land a couple big fish and filleted our Cobia which gave us some tasty supper. We would definitely use Captain Phil again.

Phil put us right on the fish and we were literally reading in different species of fish the whole time. They were very patient if with our experience level and tried to make sure we were catching something that was fun to fight as well as good to eat. Great playlist of tunes on the boat as well! Highly recommend and will fish with Phil again!

We had a great time with Captain Phil. He and his mate, Tim, had to change the offshore sighing plan due to weather, but put us on the fish right away back in the mangroves. Had a lot of action every spot we tried. Great for experienced anglers, and inexperienced. Our young sons had a blast and caught some great fish.
