Every great adventure needs a starting point and Captain Carlo is here to get you and your guest pointing in the right direction. Whether it's cruising the historic waterways in Charleston or chasing some of our most sought-after inshore sportfish, it will be our pleasure to spend the day with you.

On these trips with Captain Carlo, you will fish the many creeks, oyster beds, rivers, and inlets of Charleston Harbor. All within a short and comfortable boat ride from Shem Creek where you will be launching from.

Protected from the winds and waves generally associated with offshore fishing trips, these inshore trips are perfect for those who are new to boating and fishing. You’ll be fishing aboard Captain Carlo's 26-foot Avenger. She can accommodate up to 6 anglers.

Captain Carlo will provide rods, reels, tackle, licenses, tackle, bait, an ice cooler, and bottled water. Feel free to bring your own equipment as well as any food and drinks of your choice. Don’t forget sunscreen and a hat.

How did you get started guiding?
I took a charter to learn how to fish a new area while in the USN. I realized that one day if the opportunity presented itself, I'd love to share my passion of fishing with others. I have fished all over the USA and in other countries.
What makes you different from other guides?
I just love sharing my passion with others. I can't make the fish bite but i can give the absolute best experience possible on the water. Each and everyday I am able to spend on the water is a blessing.

You're all set! You don't need to buy a license for this trip.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
Cancel for free up to 7 days before the trip and receive credit back to your account. Cancelling within 7 of the trip will forfeit your deposit to the guide. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

10/10 if we could put him up there , went out for a bachelor party and had a great time with Carlo. We had to cut the day short for some people and take them back to the dock but Carlo offer to take the rest of us back out for a couple more hours after. Definitely be using him every time we go out, not to mention we caught some of the biggest drum...
