Join us down by the waters in Venice, Louisiana where you can fish at one of the best Tripletail fisheries you can find! If you're looking for some sight casting and a fish that gives you a wild fight, look no further than a Tripletail adventure.

Tripletail are pretty crazy looking fish with their prehistoric, dinosaur-like features: razor-sharp gill plates, sharp fins, and you guessed it, 3 tails. There's some debate on their beauty. Some admire them while others are might double-take at the first sight of them. But one thing is undeniable: their wonderful taste.

Captain Jacob usually finds these sneaky little guys floating motionless by nearshore structure until a potential prey wanders by and then they strike on their opportunity. Expect them to feed on fish and crabs, including gulf menhaden, Atlantic bumper, glass minnows, swimming red crabs, anchovies, shrimp, and squid. Thus, Captain Jacob will rig up some live bait (occasionally artificials as well) and sight fish these bad boys.

The deposit for this trip is non-refundable except for weather-related cancellations. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

Captain Jacob gets 5 BIG stars from my son Tyler and I. We had a fantastic trip with him yesterday. I cannot imagine there is a better fishing guide in the area . He had us on huge donkey red snappers in no time and he took us to many other locations for other species, since we had limited out on red snapper in the first 2 hours of fishing. His boat was immaculate....

Captain Jacob gets 5 BIG stars from my son Tyler and I. We had a fantastic trip with him yesterday. I cannot imagine there is a better fishing guide in the area . He had us on huge donkey red snappers in no time and he took us to many other locations for other species, since we had limited out on red snapper in the first 2 hours of fishing. His boat was immaculate. As a marine surveyor I look at these things as the safety of my son and myself is very important. Captain Jacob has a great sense of humor and makes sure his guests have a great time. Definitely choose him for your trio.

He knew how to target each species and the best place to get them. He organized the day to target species that would keep us reeling fish in. Combination of American reds (15), Tuna(6), and variety of other species . Not to mention the wahoo that broke me off ( Damn near the biggest I ever saw). Ended with a day of heat exhaustion for me, 2 hours of fish cleaning for David, and buying 3 extra coolers for the haul home. Be careful...... There is alot of mean mugging at the cleaning station. Most everyone else got skunked that day.
