Costa Rica is home to some of the world’s premier billfishing and the epicenter of Costa Rica’s fishery is the central Pacific town of Quepos. Located adjacent to Manuel Antonio National Park,
Quepos is THE destination that attracts anglers from around the world who are in pursuit of all species of Marlin as well as Sailfish, Dorado (Mahi Mahi) and Yellowfin Tuna.

Captain Manuel and his crew are your key to unlocking the renowned angling opportunities that can only be found off Quepos. Their 31' sportfish is as spotless as she is battle-tested. This vessel is optimized for chasing down your once-in-a-lifetime blue marlin without sacrificing the comforts that you should expect from a top-tier angling operation.

During the high season, from January through April, you can release numerous sailfish on a single trip in slick-calm weather conditions only 10 to 35 miles from the dock. From May to November, their clients have the chance to pursue the elusive Billfish Grand Slam: Blue Marlin, Black Marlin, Striped Marlin and Sailfish! Blue Marlin and Black Marlin can be found within 30 miles of the marina at places like the Furuno Bank.

Get ready to crank up the engines and sit back as Captain Manuel and Ben take you out for a thrilling trip!

Captain Manuel was born and raised in Drake Bay, OSA Peninsula located in the southern region of Costa Rica. He moved to Quepos 30+ years ago and has been there ever since. Captain Manuel has operated his boat for 16 years now and has had experience fishing out of Quepos and Los Suenos Marinas.

Captain Manuel enjoys offshore
fishing for big game such as Marlins, Sailfish, and Tuna. He's also got plenty of experience reeling in massive Roosterfish. One of his all-time highlights includes reeling in a 1,245lb 'Grander Black Marlin' back in August of 2008. Captain Manuel has been featured on ESPN's Fly Fishing around the world.

As for Ben, he grew up on a small island in the Irish sea known as the Isle of Man. Surrounded by the sea, Ben has spent his entire life fishing. He caught his first Marlin at the ripe age of 19 and has not looked back.

Since then, Ben has caught and released marlins up to 500lbs in places like Kenya, Vanuatu, Mozambique, Mauritius & Costa Rica. He has plenty of aspects on his fishing resume including competition in the Quepos Billfish Cup, Marina Pez Vela Open, Club Amatuer de Pesca Tournament, Pelagic Rockstar, and Pelagic Inshore Classic. Ben has also made appearances on various TV fishing shows like The Fishing Line’ and 'Hook The Future'.

Ben has traveled the world and has fished in numerous exotic locations. If you're looking for a man who knows and loves his craft, look no further.

You'll not only be safe with Captain Manuel and Ben, but you'll be reeling in some big game down in Quepos, Costa Rica!
