About Your Trip

Learn to catch giant Largemouth with one of the best in the business as you head out with Grant on a half-day or full-day outing on Lake Austin or Lady Bird Lake (Lake Austin is the Land of the Giants by the way). Grant specializes in throwing big swimbaits, 4-7inch long and usually articulated for more realistic action as you move the bait past a hungry Behemoth. This technique is pretty unique and requires a bit of knowledge to fish effectively, Grant has not only mastered this technique but he is also prepared to share his knowledge with you so you can catch Lunkers like his on your own. The reward is well worth the time, just check the pictures above!!

On the day of your trip, Grant will pick you up in his G3 Eagle 175 Bass Boat with a 70 two-stroke Yamaha strapped to the back and equipped with Minn Kota Trolling motor on the front. This boat provides a comfortable ride out to Grant's favorite spots and can get super skinny and stealthy once he drops that trolling motor in the water as well.

Mid-day heat is when Grant usually has the best success with big fish, so depending on when you'd like to get out on the water, Grant is usually willing to accommodate you. He will provide all the necessary rods, reels, tackle, gear, and of course swimbaits for your trip. He will also bring along a cooler with waters and ice aplenty for any other drinks or snacks you'd like to bring along.

So if you're looking to catch the bass of a lifetime get out there with the master and learn from the best in the business!

About Your Guide

Captain Grant

Independent Guide
Just gonna come out and say it, Grant here caught the lake record on Lady Bird lake back in 2015 with a gargantuan Largemouth coming in at 13.5lbs. He's been guiding (hooked on catching monster bass) ever since. With an intense desire for the biggest fish in each body of water he fishes, Grant switched to fishing big baits, began learning the best techniques and areas to fish them, and has seen awesome success. He's been guiding (hooked on catching monster bass) ever since. With an intense desire for the biggest fish in each body of water he fishes, Grant switched to fishing big baits, began learning the best techniques and areas to fish them, and has seen awesome success. Beyond catching really big Bass, Grant likes to have a good time onboard his boat keeping the atmosphere jovial and fun even amidst the mid summer heat!

Grant was a very pleasant and helpful guide for my daughter and me. Fishing was slow, on a very hot day.
We both caught some nice bass, despite being on the river with several hundred July 4th weekend kayakers and paddleboaters, as well a
bat watchers under the bridges.
Grant is very knowledgeable and great fun to fish with.
Highly recommend.
