About Your Trip

Are you ready to hammer some badass Bass in some of America's best bassfishing territory? Look no further—this trip with Captain Craig has everything you need for a great day, and is open to everyone, regardless of your experience level. Captain Craig is a expert angler who knows how to put you on the prizewinners, and loves working with kids and families as well.

On this trip, you'll be hunting down both Largemouth Bass and
Peacock Bass, a beautiful and extremely aggressive freshwater gamefish. Despite their name, Peacock Bass are actually a type of cichlid, and are native to South America, where they dominate freshwater ecosystems in Brazil, Venezuela, and Colombia.

You'll chase these fish from Captain Craig's 24' Travis bay boat, a perfect craft for the calm, shallow waters you'll be fishing. She has everything you need for a comfortable and productive day, including GPS, fish finder, and a wireless trolling motor to sneak up on the fish. Captain Craig will bring everything else, including rods, reels, bait, and tackle. All you need to remember is proper clothing, sunscreen, and a hat, and you'll be good to go!

Independent Guide
Capt. Craig is a family man himself; he can be seen on his days off with his favorite fishing partner, his daughter Ocean pearl. As an avid angler and fishing guide Capt. Craig strives to teach kids and novice anglers the basics of fishing, along with knowledge of the area and species being targeted. Capt. Craig has been a fishing guide for 21 years and has spent years and countless hours running boats and working at sea tow. Time on the water and safety is the most important thing while operating a vessel and Capt. Craig strives to teach others this importance. As a Captain for the towing services, this allowed Capt. Craig to survey and study the local waters finding areas were predator fish like to hide. That kind of local knowledge is priceless. Saltwater to freshwater Capt. Craig can lead you to your next trophy catch, you are looking for. As a light tackle inshore fishing enthusiast, anglers can expect the best from Capt. Craig and most importantly can learn to target species with artificial lures, fly, or live bait in any type of water.

Captain Craig provided us a great day on the water. We caught every fish we were hoping to and more. Craig’s communication before during and after the trip made everything so easy for us. We highly recommend him and will never forget this birthday! Thank you Captain Craig!

The boat had plenty of snacks, he even had some sunscreen when I realized I forgot ours in the car. Thank you so much, TJ, for an amazing 4 hour trip that is the highlight of my nephew's summer vacation!

Captain Craig was an excellent guide and has the heart of a teacher! He lead us to all the spots where fish were biting and taught my teenage son, who didn’t even want to come out, what a great time the outdoors can be.
