About Your Trip

If you really want to do it all in Orange Beach, AL, there's no better way than this trip with Captain Brooks! Orange Beach has a rich fishery with a huge variety of species, and you'll be able to cast out for whatever you want, from inshore fighters to nearshore trophies.

You'll start this trip by exploring the inshore water, looking for prized sportfish species such as Tarpon, Mangrove Snapper, Spanish Mackerel, Barracuda, and more.
Although these species are all a blast to catch, Tarpon in particular are huge fighters, with powerful runs and jumps that put acrobats to shame.

Once you get a little further off, you'll be able to sightcast right to cruising Cobia, troll for Kingfish, and drop lines over reefs and structure to hook Jack Crevalle, Amberjack, and Triggerfish! With this many species on the table, this trip is perfect for setting a bunch of personal bests.

You'll be fishing from the deck of Captain Brooks' 31' saltwater fishing vessel, a comfortable boat fitted with a powerful Cummins engine to get you out there fast. She's also equipped with a full suite of electronics, a flybridge, live wells, and an ice box for your keepers!

Captain Brooks will supply everything you need for the fishing trip of a lifetime, including rods, reels, tackle, bait, and most importantly, his expertise and years of experience getting hooked up on record-setting fish. He'll even clean your catch for you!

It was basically like jug lining for catfish but for shark. Put bait out on buoys and circle around them while trolling with lures until something was hooked. There was 1 sand shark landed but it was protected, so, couldn't keep it. If I would've known that we were not actually going to be fishing I would not have booked the trip and went for something a heck of a lot cheaper. Also, the tip to the deck hand was mandatory at 20%, so, the trip didn't cost $1,000 it was $1,200. The captain and deckhand were friendly and seemed like good guys but not at all what we expected in a shark fishing trip.

We did not have the experience that we had hoped and planned for. We felt like the ad for the adventure was not what it was listed. We did not fish for species listed and boat was not ready for us when we arrived. We had added two hours to our trip, but ended up spending this time in travel and waiting versus actually fishing. Not a great adventure for adults or children. The price was very costly for the experience we received. Did not want to leave a bad review, but wanted to let others know that this trip was very expensive for the outcome we had.
