About Your Trip

Head out on this full day, 12-hour adventure with Captain RC, and run far offshore for Swordfish—one of the hardest-fighting fish in the Gulf!

On this trip, you'll be heading deep offshore, trolling for lightning-fast gamefish such as King Mackerel, Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, Wahoo, and Blackfin Tuna. Once you reach the best fishing grounds, you'll drop your lines much deeper to attract Swordfish, which migrate at great depths, hunting for squid, baitfish, and more.

These fish are hungry, and when they hit your line, you'll feel it! Bring your A-game on this trip, because the Swords will really test your strength, skill, and stamina. Swordfish are great fighters, but they're also excellent eating fish. Captain RC will clean your keepers back at the dock so you can take home some great dinners!

You'll be getting some serious fishing done aboard Captain RC's 36' Cape Horn center console. She's powered by triple Suzuki 350-HP engines, so you'll cruise offshore with some serious speed. This well-equipped vessel comes with all the necessities, including GPS, Fishfinder, a live bait well, and an ice box for your keepers. This boat also has a shade that can be put up to get you out of the sun!

Captain RC will provide top-of-the-line rods, reels, tackle, and fishing licenses. All you need to bring is sunglasses, sunscreen, a lunch, and any snacks or drinks you'd like to enjoy while onboard.

Captain RC is a Baldwin county native who grew up fishing the coastal waters his whole life. Ever since Captain RC was a young boy, he's had a passion for fishing and being on the water. In 2015, Captain RC decided to chase that passion and resigned from his job at Austal, and starting his first job as a deckhand on a charter boat. It was clear almost immediately that he was right where he was meant to be.
Since 2015, Captain RC has continued to chase his dreams, spending countless hours on the water, and seizing every opportunity he could to learn new techniques from our local legends. By 2021, Capt. RC’s passion for fishing and being on the water had grown into so much more then just the desire to be out there himself. He wanted nothing more then to be able to share these experiences and his knowledge with others, leading him to obtain his his captains license. Since then, Captain RC has devoted himself to making sure you have an offshore experience you won’t forget!

If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, bait, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
