About Your Trip

Join your outfitter, Kirk, for an epic nighttime hog hunt using AR-10s equipped with thermal scopes! On this hunt you’ll be able to shoot as many hogs as you can find as you stalk these beasts through the night. Kirk will provide you with the A-10 rifles, thermal scopes, and .308 ammunition- perfect for sighting and putting down big hogs! Kirk does not provide lodging, but there are plenty of affordable lodging options in the area.

This is a night hunt, so you’ll arrive around 7PM, or just after dusk, and spend around 5 hours stalking the hogs.

Although there are no guarantees, Kirk's hunts frequently take out 10-30 hogs in a given night! Kirk also provides hog cleaning for an additional feel which varies based on how many hogs and the size of the hogs.

Feral hogs are a major problem in Texas, causing tens of millions of dollars in agricultural damage annually, and you can help out by whackin' 'em with high-caliber ammunition. Whether this is your first hog hunt or your hundredth, these trips are a blast for everyone!

With over 40 years of alligator gar fishing and guiding experience, Captain Kirk is the original alligator gar guide for rod and reel catch and release angling.

Captain Kirk started guiding alligator gar fishing in 1999, and since then, he's caught alligator gar from Mexico to the Mississippi river and all parts in between.

He has caught the largest gar ever by rod and reel, a 365 lb alligator gar in 1991 that was fish was 9 ft 6 in long.

Captain Kirk is proud to say that he's caught 6 fish over 300 lbs, and his trips catch from 1 to 6 fish over 200 lbs each year. Captain Kirk has also amassed over 100 IGFA world records for all species.

Captain Kirk gets it done when it comes to catching monster Alligator Gar- he's great with kids and families and looks forward to hosting your next unforgettable adventure!

You'll need to buy a hunting license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, bait, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
