When you hop on board with Kirk, you're sure to have one of the best Gar fishing experiences around! Starting in Coldspring, on this 8-hour excursion you'll be targeting massive Alligator Gar with a rod-and-reel approach.

Alligator Gar are one of the most distinctive looking fish you can find, with an alligator-like head and a fish-like body. Kirk is a true pioneer of Gar fishing, holding the record for the largest ever rod-and-reel caught Gar
at 365 lbs! He's sure to help you haul in some of these massive beasts. Expect to use a classic rod and reel to lure these in.

Kirk conducts these trips on his 18' Weldbilt skiff boat that can take you through even the shallowest waters. She can accommodate up to 4 anglers, so bring some good company!

Rods, reels, tackle and bait will be provided. Make sure to bring a valid Texas Freshwater Fishing License, food and drinks of your choice, a hat, and sunscreen.

long.

Captain Kirk is proud to say that he's caught 6 fish over 300 lbs, and his trips catch from 1 to 6 fish over 200 lbs each year. Captain Kirk has also amassed over 100 IGFA world records for all species.

Captain Kirk gets it done when it comes to catching monster Alligator Gar- he's great with kids and families and looks forward to hosting your next unforgettable adventure!

Kirk also runs badass hog hunts out of Coldspring, Texas! Join him to blast some feral hogs, which are a major problem in this part of the country.

Hat, sunscreen, polarized sunglasses, rain jacket. All (Rods, reels, tackle, bait) included.
You'll need to buy a fishing license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.
We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).
The deposit for this trip is non-refundable except for weather-related cancellations. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.
In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, bait, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
