If you've been on the hunt for world-class fly fishing right here in California, this trip with Captain Jacob has your name on it. You'll be fishing the Sacramento River for Rainbows and Steelhead on fly tackle, both of which make for incredible fights and an exhilarating experience for any angler.

To hook up these big Salmonids, you'll be fly fishing from the 17’ Willie drift boat, throwing small flies and indicators to draw huge trout out of their ambush positions. All of these fish species have well-deserved reputations as powerful fighters, so be prepared to do battle if you hook a trophy. The summer and fall months offer the best of both worlds when it comes to fishing the Sacramento River, with excellent weather and river conditions, alongside first-class Trout and Steelhead fishing. Summer trout fishing can mean 20+ fish days with Rainbow Trout up to and over 20 inches! Throw in a little light tackle, and that is the makings of an epic day of fishing!

Captain Jacob has put in a ton of time on this river, and knows the water here extremely well. He's able to consistently put his clients on fish, and send them home with amazing stories, great pictures, and full coolers. All you need to bring is your California Fishing Licenses, some sun protection, and some snacks and trips for the trip!

As soon as he turned 18 years old, Jacob took his passion on to the next level and obtained his guide license and U.S. Coast Guard Captains License in order to begin taking the steps to becoming a more prominent outfitter. With his thousands of hours on the river, Jacob is well on his way to becoming one of the best guides in Northern California. Calling the world-renowned Sacramento River home presents unlimited opportunities in multiple world class fisheries. Jacob specializes in Salmon, Trout, Steelhead, Striped Bass and Sturgeon fishing trips. Overall, Jacob is one of the youngest guides in the North State. With his determination, and his level of experience, he has an unmatched ability to provide a successful experience on the water.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

The deposit for this trip is non-refundable except for weather-related cancellations. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.

Each trip's price is determined by the guide and reflects all associated costs. A significant factor in pricing is often the type of boat and the corresponding fuel expenses. Additional costs may include leases, marina or slip fees, and the expenses involved in providing and maintaining the necessary gear for your trip.
