About Your Trip

Get on down to Baytown, TX for for some early-morning action shooting ducks on the Bay!

Your guide and outfitter, David, will provide all the scouting, decoys, and blinds on this morning hunt. Whether you're an experienced duck hunter or just getting into the sport, this is the ideal opportunity to bag a ton of birds. Texas is smack in the middle of the Central Flyway, and is a stopover for dozens of migratory waterfowl species. The lakes here draw hundreds of thousands of ducks annually, including Green-Winged and Blue-Winged Teals, Wigeons, Redheads, Pintails, Gadwalls, Shoevelers, Mottled Ducks, and more. All of these species are great wingshooting quarries, and are excellent table fare as well.

Your guide, David, is an expert hunter and will get you as many great shot as possible. He's full of good tips to help you maximize your chances of success, and has the experience necessary to ensure a great trip. Get out there with him and have yourself a blast!

All you need to bring on this hunt are your own shotguns, camouflage, and waders. David can provide shells for an additional fee. You will also need your Texas hunting license with a federal duck stamp. What are you waiting for? Get out there and bag some birds!

Shotgun and ammo (steel shot), proper hunting clothing, Hat, sunscreen, polarized sunglasses. Rods, reels, tackle, bait included. There is one gun, and one pair of waders available to rent.

You'll need to buy a hunting license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

The deposit for this trip is non-refundable except for weather-related cancellations. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

I had an absolutely great experience on this trip! Dave went to great lengths to prepare for the trip and make it as smooth and enjoyable as possible. We had the best time with Captain David! He was so nice and fun to fish with. I had never saltwater fished and he was very patient with me. She showed me how to bait the hook and did it for me until I was comfortable doing it myself. No judgement. He was an all around good guy! Took us to several spots and put us in fish every spot. We caught black drum, croakers and red drum. He took me to his Hail Mary spot ( shhh it’s a secret). And I caught a 15 pound Red Drum. He helped me step by step land it into the boat. It was so much fun and he was as excited as I was. We saw a mama and her baby dolphin and he took me as close as he could to them so I could get some pictures because he knew I was excited to see them. On the way back to the pier he told us some history and info about the things we were seeing. I will definitely book with Captain David next time we go down there.

3 hunters, 6 shots fired at 1 duck that was way too far. Guide couldn’t put us within range to shoot, water was so low that I measured 90 yards from cover to waters edge in one spot, I have never been on a paid hunt where I never even fired a round.
