About Your Trip

Join Frank for an exciting inshore and nearshore fishing adventure at the productive Mayport Jetties, just minutes from the marina. This quick-run location puts you right into one of the most consistently active fisheries in the area, where strong tides, deep structure, and bait-rich currents create nonstop opportunities throughout the year.

The Mayport Jetties are a true hotspot for a wide variety of species, and every trip offers something different depending on the season and
conditions. These rocky structures act as a natural funnel for bait and predator fish, making them one of the most reliable places to find steady action and quality catches close to shore.

Seasonal favorites include Sheepshead, Flounder, Redfish, Speckled Seatrout, Spanish Mackerel, Bluefish, and King Mackerel. Each species brings its own style of fishing, from bottom-hugging Sheepshead around the rocks to fast-striking Spanish Mackerel and hard-running Kingfish in moving current and open water. Flounder and Seatrout add excellent table fare to the mix, while Redfish provide strong fights and dependable action year-round.

Depending on conditions and target species, you may fish a range of techniques from light tackle presentations to heavier setups designed for larger fish. When Bull Redfish and Black Drum are present, heavier gear comes into play to handle powerful runs and hard-fighting structure-oriented fish. These encounters are a highlight of jetty fishing and provide some of the most exciting battles in the area.

At the right time of year, there is also the chance to encounter Tarpon cruising the jetties and surrounding waters. Known for their explosive strikes and acrobatic fights, Tarpon add an unforgettable element of excitement when they appear and offer anglers a true bucket-list opportunity.

This trip is best suited for small groups of three anglers or fewer, allowing for a more focused, flexible, and productive fishing experience. With fewer people on board, Frank can easily adjust techniques, move between productive spots, and maximize time spent actively fishing the best conditions of the day.

Whether you are looking for steady action, a variety of species, or the chance at a trophy fish nearshore, the Mayport Jetties deliver year-round opportunity in a dynamic and scenic setting. Join Frank for a fast-paced, fish-filled trip where every outing brings new surprises and the potential for an unforgettable catch.

My husband and I had a great fishing day with Captain Frank. While the weather conditions, and tide, wasn’t fully cooperating, that was completely out of anyone’s control. Captain Frank is a great guide, very patient, calm, and easy going. It feels like you’re out on the water with an ole friend when you’re with him. We caught some speckled trout and we were very happy with day. We created new memories.😊...

We had a great time with captain frank. Due to the storms that rolled in weeks prior to our trip and a nor' easter, we had to make due with the areas we had available to fish. The booking process was very easy and we enjoyed our time on the water.
