During Texas' annual duck seasons, these productive coastal flats come alive with migrating waterfowl, creating exciting opportunities for hunters of all experience levels.

You'll hunt from well-camouflaged blinds strategically positioned across the scenic coastal marshes and shallow flats that make this region famous among waterfowl enthusiasts. These productive habitats provide ideal feeding and resting areas for a variety of duck species, resulting in fast-paced action throughout the season.

The primary targets on these hunts include Pintail, Widgeon, Teal, and Redheads, all of which are abundant throughout the Rockport area during migration. Hunters also regularly encounter Bufflehead and Scaup, adding even more variety and excitement to the hunt. With multiple species often working the decoys throughout the morning, every hunt offers a unique and dynamic experience.

Traditional morning hunts begin at legal shooting time and continue until hunters reach their limits or approximately 10:00 AM, whichever comes first. Early mornings on the Texas coast provide incredible scenery as flocks of ducks move across the marsh and work into the decoy spread, creating exciting shooting opportunities and memorable moments in the blind.

For hunters who prefer a more relaxed schedule, Brent also offers highly productive afternoon duck hunts. These trips are perfect for those who would rather skip the pre-dawn wake-up call and enjoy a leisurely departure around 1:00 PM. Afternoon hunts can be surprisingly productive, often producing limits by early afternoon as ducks move between feeding and resting areas.

Captain Brent is a full-time professional fishing and hunting guide serving the Rockport, Texas area and beyond. With over 30 years of professional outfitting experience in the hunting and fishing guiding industry, and while owning his own business for the last 20 years, he is well-seasoned in catering to clients of all backgrounds and ages.

His area bays for fishing cover a wide range, from San Antonio Bay all the way down to Baffin Bay, including Copano, St. Charles, Aransas, Mesquite, Ayers, Carlos, Redfish, Corpus Christi, Nueces, the Upper Laguna Madre, and many more bays and saltwater marshes too numerous to mention. In addition, he has access to numerous hunting ranches throughout South Texas for a variety of hunting trips.

Captain Brent holds licenses from the U. S. Coast Guard and the State of Texas, along with certification in adult CPR and first aid. He is an active member of the Coastal Bend Guides Association, having even served as a member of the Board of Directors, representing the city of Rockport, Texas.

While he specializes in catching redfish, Captain Brent also employs drift and anchor fishing techniques for all saltwater species of fish, including speckled trout, redfish or red drum, flounder, black drum, sharks, and sheephead, catering to both novice and experienced fishermen alike.

In addition to his extensive fishing knowledge, Captain Brent also boasts considerable expertise in South Texas hog hunting. With years of experience and a keen understanding of the region's terrain and wildlife, he offers thrilling hog hunting adventures for those seeking the excitement of the hunt in the heart of South Texas.

All gear is included, but we also recommend bringing sunglasses, sunscreen, weather-appropriate clothing, and anything else you might want on the trip.

You'll need to buy a hunting license before getting out there. Find out more about licenses here.

We use a cashless autopay system. We'll send you a boarding pass, and on the day of the trip, your guide will scan your boarding pass to automatically transfer the remaining balance. The only cash needed is to tip your guide (we recommend 20%).

The deposit for this trip is non-refundable except for weather-related cancellations. Day-of cancellations and no-shows will be charged the full balance of the trip to their card.

In the event of inclement weather you'll be covered by out 100% Weather Guarantee and will not lose your deposit.

Brent was the real deal. It put us on the fish and we made our limit by 8am and was able to just catch and release the rest of the morning. He is very knowledgeable about the best fishing holes. We got to see dolphins, stingrays, and turtles and he was a wealth of knowledge. I strongly recommend Brent and I hear is hunting/fishing combo is to die for. Can’t go wrong here!

Once you've paid your deposit at checkout, we'll send you a QR Code boarding pass. Just show your guide your boarding pass on the day of the trip, they'll scan it, the remaining balance will transfer automatically, and you'll be all set to get out there. In the event of inclement weather, our guides will check the conditions and make the final call on whether its safe to go on the trip. If they decide the trip needs to be postponed, we'll work closely with you to reschedule or provide a credit for the full deposit, which can be applied to any of our trips in the US and beyond.
